It appears so.. i might just keep it as it is until it gets worst so the real issue pops up easyer

I'd fix it now before they get wise to the bms brake snip and know to look for it and deny your claim. In this case it's good to be first.

I plan on keeping this car for a while, I think I’ll bypass the snip.

Like any modification weigh the benefits and the risks and decide accordingly! To many running 12.0 is just as good as 11.6 so no reason to push the car harder if it increases the chances of a drivetrain issue. For others it's worth the risk. The real question that has to be answered is how many drivetrain failures are cropping up and what is failing exactly. Once we know that we can come up with tuning strategies to keep things on the safe side of whatever the limit is.

So far, not seen many drivetrain failures despite many low 1.6 60' times. Hopefully anyone who does have some sort of failure will report back what broke so we can find a common thread.

Update: problen has not been resolved, transfer case isnt the issue

Did they check all the mounts? Trans mount? Diff mount? Make sure all the bolts down there are tight?

Did they put the car on a drive up lift, and have someone under neath pin point the noise as you move from park to drive and back?

Only 2 or 3 trans issues out of 20 or 30 snips. 10% ain't bad.

I'd estimate around 300 people have bypassed the brake switch and almost all of them have tried hard launches, some guys have done over 100 hard launches now.

I expected we'd get lots of broken half shafts like we see on BMWs. So far zero which was a surprise. Only transmission issue I've heard of is from the hybrid turbo car slipping on its way to 126mph traps, and it's still unknown as to what the issue is exactly.

Then there is OP who has a mystery harder jolt than normal when shifting from park to drive. Can't be a major issue if Kia isn't doing anything to fix it?

Did anyone figure out if it worked with the GT2 AWD?
