Brake snip issue

I take full responsibility with the outcome of my actions.. but some1 told me to get the differential joint checked out, might be a cheap fix than waiting for drivetrain to fall off so ill see if dealer can squeeze me in to check it out

Hope it's something simple, Christopher - good luck and keep us posted on what you find out, please.

This shows how much i know about cars... is the transmission oil somewhere under the hood or directly under the car?

Thanks for enlighting other possibilities, i will try disconnect and reconnect the baterry since i dont even have a code ...

Ive tried another launch control and the switch is ok. Its on and LC blocking off at 2200 rpm

If you don't know much about cars, why would you go snipping a wire to your ECU?

Now you have a problem with your vehicle, that's probably everyday use, and if you have to take it in to the dealer you better cross your fingers they don't have to replace the harness if its something electrical and not mechanical.

I would take your jb4 out re connect that wire and retape it all up and take it to dealer and see what they say.

Apparently he said he hears something in the transfer case.. he might try to get it off warranty even with my mods but hes scared kia canada will send inspector since its a high value car with an unknown issue.. but he said manager will try to pass it off on something less severe to keep inspectors away for the workbench to get approved under waranty..

*high five* to this dealership that are all psyched with my mods and trying everything to help me out

He cant be 100% its the transfer case the problem im having where in getting a jerk when i put on D but he says he hears a aound coming from there and it looks like the driveshaft turns a bit and nudging against something..

He said worst case scenario if that brakes my awd will become RWD if nothing pops out out place.. and doesnt know if its severe enough for it to break but if i LC hard at 3500 i aint putting the chances on my side...

Told him none of yall had this problem so guessing its bad luck that my stinger didnt handle the 3500 rpm LC test

This dog (dealer)will turn around and bite your azz ! :) Wash
A couple mechanics are car enthusiasts but like they said its up to kia canada to make the big shot calls on waranty..

Jb4, brake snip, BOV, OCC, MdP, cat-back, air intakes... dont feel like taking it all off.. guess its out of pocket if it comes to it

It’s weird how something broke just from loading it up. It’s not like you even launched it.

He loaded it up to 3500 rpm a few times holding it for more than a few seconds. Think of 3-3500 rpm for 5 seconds on the brakes and mashing the gas.

I’m really unsure if this entire thread is just a troll or not.

I assure you its not a troll, and it takes at least 2-3 sec for it to load up to 3500 and i held it an extra seconde... i onty tested twice..

Anyone from canada try this yet? I assure you mine hit 3500... im warry of testing it again but if dealership gives ne a go for replacement ill make a video
You have put the fear in me to try this out on my own car. I think I’m going to wait this one out for a good 6 months and see how other awd cars do.

I was going to do the snip/switch this weekend however now I am going to wait a little bit :rolleyes:

5 seconds and 3500 rpm is alot if strain and heat on the torque converter desingened to handle 2200 rpm and 4 seconds. Sounds like its damaged to me. Most people are holding less than a second on the brake snip.
@Terry@BMS thoughts?
