BMS JB4 Stinger water/meth (WMI) sneak peak

Definitely.. It's just the RWD cars have a hard time taking advantage off the line where the gains are the greatest. But lighter rims for everyone!

You listening Kia? :)

Lighter Rims and slicks here. Hopefully Im not too far behind in the 1/4 mile times in 2 weeks when I go to the track.

What tires?

What tires?
Micky Thompsons and some Proxes R888r. Not sure which ones I will go with to start. Both are only pairs for the rears at 275/35R19's for the fronts I will go with my Pilot Sport 4s 255/35R19s

Hmm R888R are just OK... What MT tires? It's hard to get any decent hooking tire in a 19". I'd suggest 18" rear rims and something like an NT05R for a good street/strip tire.

I agree, lighter wheels would help. Here I am sitting with two sets of the factory 19s. What a waste!

ET Street s/s. those are actually 285s so i grabbed the R888Rs in 275 as i know that will fit. I havent tried any on the car yet. I have had great experience with the Proxes. You havent :(

Yep you'll need more sidewall to hook. Terry, have you explored smaller wheel options for the rear? Maybe we can swap in the base model rear brakes and run a 275/60/15 :p

lol that sideways is WAY to big for my taste. Low profile should be fine. Id run a 60 wall if i was in a pick up.

Yep but that's what all the big players are using running into the 6s - 7s

Those are usually full blown slicks on small wheels and 1000 HP cars. We arent even half of that though.

lol in theory but overkill for what we're looking to do with it. :)

They are OK if really warm, for road racing. Just never had any luck with them drag racing. I have 285/40/18s 555Rs on ours when racing, fit OK under there.

Ya they are really comparable between the the NT555Rs. I feel they are more stickier but wear quicker. They will only get thrown on when I hit the track. Ill likely try them out first over the MTs. Just get me as close to 11s as possible terry lol.

Hi Everyone,

I am going to attempt my WMI install this weekend and have 3 questions before I start. Hoping someone can help.

1. The instructions say "The FSB red power wire will be routed to an inline fuse using a wire nut for attachment, and then the inline fuse routed in to an unused spot in the fuse box." The picture shows a wire nut being used but I don't understand why. My fuse and the wire that needs to go to the fuse box are already attached.

2. Which unused fuse location is best to use or will any of them work? The instructions say " we strongly suggest SWITCHED power for the FSB. Resist the urge to use the easy to reach/attach to CONSTANT power sources" so I want to be sure I use the correct one.

3. I have pictures of the injector below. Which side gets screwed into the WMI adapter? I assume the side of the injector with the "Large" cutout hole screws into the adapter and the side with the "pinhole" faces the charge pipe? We all know what can happen when we assume so I was hoping someone could confirm or deny.

Thanks,
Ian

With these questions im not trying to be mean, but you may want to consider profession assistance with this install.

1. There should be a small seperate red wire with an inline fue. I used quick disconnects and attached that to the FSB Power and to a non constant fuse location.

2. Use a voltage tester to see what has constant and what doesnt. Find one that is not constant.

3. The small hole is the nozzle that will mist the methanol mixture. This is the hole that should be facing into the charge pipe.

Thanks for the answers. There is no separate red wire with the kit I received. See the picture below. I am guessing they changed up the kit and now it comes pre attached. It looks like mine has already been heat shrunk together I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something since the instructions differ slightly from what I received.

I know I can break out the tester and find one that's not constant but I thought it would be faster just to ask someone who had already found it so I didn't have to go through the process.

I know you aren't trying to be mean and I appreciate the answers. Other than the questions I asked the install seems straight forward so I don't anticipate any issues.

Nice! Mine was separate so I use quick disconnects on a bunch of connections, it is pretty straight forward. I literally used the same spot as the picture in the instructions for the install. It's a non constant source.

I can’t relate to you drug addicts talking about meth!

I never used any meth but peer pressure is getting to me.

Well the price is right, gains look amazing, and it just seems easy to install and use. You know you want some!! haha

I am not going to lie, I kind of do want some meth.

Going the intercooler route first, I personally never been a fan of having meth on a daily driver, but for the price and performance that you get is very tempting.

I will hit the track in 2 weeks and I will go from there. How much did you spend on the whole kit ?
