BMS JB4 Stinger water/meth (WMI) sneak peak

This 442 hp car only ran 12.14 in ideal conditions so performance is still a bit off from what the dyno is suggesting even at the 442 whp let alone 510.
I have to launch better. End of story.

Turns out he was on snow tires lol, those will crap performance at the track for sure. But looking at boost/timing I expect he would make around 450whp on a dynojet as other AWD cars running the same boost/timing generally make.
I need to get to a Dynojet when you get my summer tires back on, I guess. And I need to hook up at launch.

I thought it was a great run. It's the first out of the season who doesnt make adjustments after thier first out. Been dragging for a while. Never was my first out what I hoped for. Takes more than a few to dial things in. I just hope that we got some of it sorted with the dragy in the off season.

You "need" awd, the tires will make a world of difference on your launch. Do not roll through the water box. No need for a burn out you have awd.
Yeah. Classically, I go around the box. I can’t wait until my summers go on. And I’ll make sure not to go with over half a tank of fuel.

Lol. How does the fastest AWD track slip Stinger at 116.99mph still get described as “only” a 12.1:unsure:

IMHO a 12.1@117 is great for an AWD that had slow 1.95sec 60s. If or when he runs 1.8s like many other AWD Stingers he will probably break 11s too.

I agree he may not be pushing as much as the estimated 500whp, but easily more than 442whp. I think that’s pretty awesome for completely stock exhaust with only intakes and a JB4/WMI kit.
I agree its an awesome run. Just not 500whp. Feels like dynojet 435-440 on snow tires.
I figure I'm making 440 whp and hope to run 11.7, 11.8 depending on the temps.
At the same -1500 DA I've run 11.6 dragy going up hill but no heat soak.

I was 440whp on the Mustang Dyno

I know and that was the point of my first comment.
At 405 whp dynojet i ran 12.4 @ 70 degrees, 350 feet. 430- 440 hp dynojet should go 12.1 easy at cooler temps and lower altitude.

Yes you want to manage all those details. Spare tire out, gas down to 1/4 tank, to stack the odds in your favor. :)

Has anyone tried airing down the tires in an attempt for better tracktion?

It will definitely help. Just don't go under 25psi

Yeah I dont think its quite 500whp either, but seems like all your estimates are a little low.

Dont forget Terry ran 462whp/531wtq on a DynoJet with the same mods(intake & JB4/WMI) and that was with older firmware. I think BallsAwesome is probably closer to 460-480whp on a DJ, and you should be about the same. Your advantage may not be HP, but you have much better launches(1.82=60') and quicker shifts which holds more power into the next gear. That would easily account for the 0.2-0.3 quicker ETs.

Also, you keep trying to relate HP to 1/4m ETs, instead of trap speeds. Again, ETs are a better indicator of your launch & shifts, while trap speed relates to HP or power/weight ratios.

I agree you should run around 11.8s at the track, but if he had similar 1.8sec 60s he would be right there with you and would be a great race to the end.

Looks like i could run an 11 with a 1.92 60 foot. With a 1.99 60 foot i ran 12.04 @ 117.71 mph. I am curious of the WHP. LC timed out a half second before launch. Oops. Hate to miss that first run of the day. My 11.87 was at only 116.7 mph.
Its also starting to look like the exhaust side is adding little to no power when the cars are running higher than stock boost.

We need more AWD cars to get lighter rims, the factory rims at 35# each are a total tragedy. :)

More RWDs also. Get all the Stingers a bit faster. Fun to have a hellcat owner conceding the race with a KIA before the race happens. ☺

Definitely.. It's just the RWD cars have a hard time taking advantage off the line where the gains are the greatest. But lighter rims for everyone!

You listening Kia? :)
