• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Australia-Specific Kia Stinger Discussion

Tell me this doesn’t look like no other colour within the range in full sun?
Easy decision for me as it’s Kia’s hero colour and all the promotions are done with red.
The micro blue has a unique sparkle in the sun also. The red is nice but Kia have been flogging that horse since they released late 2017. About time for a change really :p:D

Seriously though they haven’t really made a bad colour.

So are you colour blind or just not noticed the colour of mine and the comments made?
I forgot about u. Hows your paint holding up

Another reason I need a Stinger, the hatch back will be so handy. My son has bike Ed at school all week and Iv'e had to swap cars with hubby to use his Cerato hatch so I can transport my son's bike to and from school. The permit for parking is on my Optima so Iv'e had to pay undercover parking at work and then my shopping bags are in the boot of my car so I had to buy plastic bags in Coles today.

Carrying a bike is one reason I am getting a tow bar - my eldest son rides competitively, and being able to put the bike on the carrier on the Stinger instead of the Challenger means I get to drive my car when I take him :)

It's my understanding that the rear seats in the AUDM Stinger don't drop, is that correct? If so, that may restrict your ability to carry bikes in the hatch...

You can get two kmart bikes in the back with the seats folded. It's not something I'd want to do regularly because you always end up catching a pedal on the bumper or bar end in the roof liner.. Also if you've got a proper bike and ride dh then you don't want to have to think about mud and dirt etc plus all the gear. It's exactly why I put a Northshore rack on mine.

Ah, the back seats do fold then? Excellent. I thought I'd read that they don't...

Got car re-tuned with a better printout....not bad results considering all I have is a Bi-modal exhaust. (Not sure if that even increases performance at all)

Stock 14-15psi

202rwkw/576nm torque

Unichip and tune 16psi

276rwkw/687nm torque

So all up 111nm boost and 74rwkw (37%)

Wow. That's fantastic numbers. How much all up did you spend for this extra power? (if u dont mind me asking).

And does it make a diffference when you tune the car with the bimodal exhaust? isn't it restricting it more? (the exhuast i mean).

The bimodal exhaust won't impact performance - in general an axle-back exhaust won't, or the impact of it is very minor (about 5kW on my Liberty which had a 3" downpipe and mid-pipe combination - it only had an impact there because the downpipe and mid-pipe flow so well).

Has anyone tried to put the Turbo trumpets on the blow off valve ? And is it legal in Aus ? Never had them before and kinda interested.

Ok everyone unichip guys price atm is $1990 fitted and if people want to do a group buy of 2 or more we can organise discounts. :)

Highly recommend Bad Motorsports Blakehurst as their tune was top notch. NICK knew what he was doing.

Cost me $1900 but I got a defence discount.

I tried trumpets on my GFB Deceptor Pro 2's but they don't fit because of the motors that control the atmo/recirc ratio. Trumpets would fit on respons though. Can't speak for other BOV's. And yes I believe they're illegal.

Had Fun in this for an hour with the Bimodal Exhaust
