You sign a template the dealership should have giving them permission to pick the plates up on your behalf. Call them and ask about the template and say you want the car registered in your plates not theirs. They can do it and are just being lazy..

Mine was registered with my existing plates, drove in to the dealer, removed them from my trade, fitted to the Stinger & drove out...Simples.

Now , Flameangel fess up or I will send the mafia over with an offer you can’t refuse. Lol
Still can’t believe you can get the plate before you buy the car. I had mine parked with licensing office until the car arrived. Gave the dealer a signed form so he could pick them up and put them on.
Best deal about WA is we pay once and that’s it for private plates. Of course we pay normal rego which this year was about $870 for 12 months rego and third party.

Hey @AV8R , we were talking in front of you, waiting for you to read it and respond...lol. I got my custom plates in NOV 2017, didn't get my Stinger till MAR 2018, kept them hidden and away from the light all that time..

I hope so i don't want anyone groping my plates.
As per a conversation i had with @Flameangel did anyone elso have a problem fitting the plate covers over the plates? My plates leaves no room to clip the 4 clips over. I loosened the 2 screws on the plate but theres no way of tightening the back up again as the cover then covers the screws.

I bought ALTREX plate covers, they have no screws, just tabs that kind of have a hinge on one side, all you do is lift the tab up, place the cover up against the plate, then push the tab down, to its closed position, with part of the tab pushed in behind the rear of the plate, holding the cover in place.

Sure I bought it at Autobarn, but i have seen them at Repco and SuperCheap Auto should have them as well.

You got to squeeze them together then push down clip that’s what the foam is for.

What ?? we didn't talk behind your back who was it via phone convo that advised I get them quickly in case someone has the same idea and their gone the next day ,huh ??

Wait till the custom plates are fitted to your Stinger, then take a photo of them fitted, and show us the first photo of your Stinger at the same time, Sorry @AV8R , Majority Rules....
