• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... Australia-Specific Kia Stinger Discussion

I suddenly feel like I don't deserve this car.
Sounds like we've got a good bunch of people on there.
You deserve everything you work for.

I actually felt the same way initially, I thought oh it's expensive and maybe I should just keep my Optima.Purchased that new( never bought new car before, always second hand ) it was $38,000 which is not cheap for us.
We have always put the kids first making sure their needs are met, I have two special needs kids, one has an aide at school and the other I take every few months to the Royal children's hospital. But I love them to the moon and back and wouldn't change anything.
We all have challenges in life, looks like your'e having a tough time.
Over the years my hubby had his sports bikes and said to me " you always put everyone else first, now it's your turn, you deserve the Stinger "
That's how I look at it. Don't think you don't deserve something special, when you really do.

Very kind words, you sound like an amazing person doing very well. I admire those traits.

I got my ex an optima platinum demo in 2012 for 36k which we sold 9 months later for 26k rip.

So this is my first time getting a new car let alone a new one for me.

It's going to be a Michelin year.

I don't have Facebook.
Im not sure how much I'll be able to drive, getting my shoulder done next Wednesday so will have to see how it goes. I'll probably get the Kia all sorted by the end of the month if I secure a deal this week. Otherwise might be start of March.

My girlfriend is making me second guess myself about red interior ugh anyone else got red interior and can give me advice?
Yes I have the red interior - and it is GORGEOUS! I was second guessing it as well after I placed the order, but the moment I saw it "in the flesh" the red was soooo much nicer than what I imagined!

This makes me even happier! Can't freakin wait!!!
So what about boot protector and boot rubber mat? Are they worth the coin? I was already going to get the boot protector but now thinking about the boot rubber mat too. Oh and I have organised mud flaps.

Mine is a MY19 so it already had the boot protector, so if yours is a 19 model it will also have one. I haven't purchased a mat (yet). Not sure if I will.
I got the mud guards as well, and added a spoiler which I got painted black.

Funny they’re expecting the Newcastle guys to drive south to the Central Coast to turn around and drive to Cessnock. Looks like they’re taking the back road through Kulnura/Bucketty/Wolombi. Hope they’re prepared for some rock chips. I’d be leaving a bit of a gap from the guy in front. Should be a good drive though. I was thinking they’d come up the M1 from Sydney and get off at Freeman’s Waterhole that’s how I’d go to Pokolbin from here. Guess it’s about the long winding roads

They are saying it isn't an including in the my19 lol, you sure it wasn't just thrown in?

No. It came standard. As too did the ambient lighting.
Thanks mate ...will look into it.

Anyone used this company for job quotes? Got quoted $220 for tint and now seeing if they can neat 70 bucks for sequential reflector installation.

Don’t scrimp on price just find someone who knows what they are doing and does a good job. It will cost a lot more to fix up a cheap job that gets stuffed up. Those reflectors will require the bumper to come off so they don’t know what they are doing if they charge $70.
Tint is the same, use 3M only as the rest is crap. Av price from a good installer over here is $350. Crappy installers leave bubbles.

You don't need to take the bumper off lol it's just splice a few wires each side job, you run the cables up with a coathanger. The quote I got was from an auto electrician for half an hour's labour when I described the entirety of the job.

Also with window tint they have 5 year warranty with even the $170 scoupon tint.

I just had a look at the video. You’re right no bumper off but it’s still time consuming and finicky. If they bust clips etc your screwed.
My window tint has a lifetime guarantee.
Here’s the vid..

Hmm not sure if I'm a fan. Did you need it sprayed or did it come like that?
How about this? M & S type "S" in gloss black.20181220_154421.webp 20181220_154448.webp
