• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Australia-Specific Kia Stinger Discussion

Hi everyone. Great community you've got here!
I'm literally about to bite the bullet on a Feb19 built MY19 GT 3.3tt white with red nappa and 10km on the clock.
I'm keen to hear your opinions on pricing.
I've been offered $60,900 drive away with GT mats. In your opinion, is this the best price I can get atm? Just don't wanna get ripped off..

Thanks in advance:)
OMG, that's the car I want !! :)

That sounds like a good deal to me and it's the current year.

You might have to bid for it:laugh::D

All 150cm of you:laugh:. You do need to find out discreetly what dealer stock the dealers have on their lots. So you can make an offer on a car that's there.

Our plan is go for test drive, just act like we are " considering " the Stinger, contact a few dealerships and see if they have what we want and negotiate price. We may still hold off for end of year sales, because we are known to 2 of them, they sometimes do a special deals for previous customers after end of year sales.

VIC.
Is it possible to know what would be the best price to work towards?
Personally I wouldn't be unhappy with those figures. I can't recall seeing any lower for white.

That's a good price but the fact the dealer has made an offer leads me to believe it can do better. See if you can get a few extra inclusions such as tint or paint protection and even bi-modal, but at the very least a price reduction to sub 60k.
You will also be helping @Flameangel by setting a precedent....lol.

Is this white/red combo rare?
In another thread, someone mentioned having trouble finding ceramic grey with red interior but that was some where in the US.

My hubby found a website on his phone with recommended retail price of the Stinger, for GT 3.3 L it was $59,500 so start under $60,000 imho and we are aiming not to go over $63,000 and that's with bimodal, paint protection and matts thrown in.But I want the same deal @Hemz got if I can.

Hey ladies & gents,

Currently in the market for a GT also. I’m not too phased on a new or ex demo with very low km’s. So far this is what I’ve been told (to give a comparison to the prices every else has been getting).

2019 MY19 $59k for a brand new one (no accessories thrown in).

2019 MY19 $62,500 for a brand new one on the floor with Bi-Modal.

2018 MY19 $57,500 new on the floor - Bi-Modal included, mats and tint.

2018 MY19 $55k for another ex demo (considerably high km’s though) - bi-modal, mats and tint.

And now on carsales new ones listed at $60,888 (Eofy sales of course).

I’ve been told Bi-Modal are being installed for $1,500 now in VIC though from dealers so that’ll give you an indication as to what the extra price is for them. Don’t believe this $2,500 installed crap..

Mind you guys all above prices I have not haggled one bit. Just simply called and asked some general questions. I would suggest another 5% off at least, on above prices can be achieved with some decent haggling and “walk out” methods. That and pitting the dealers against each other ;).

Now let’s all have some fun getting the best prices!

Cheers

Well done Dred they're good figures.

Would you mind putting your location in your avatar it aids in regional discussions , issues and meets. Cheers.

Not a lot around and usually a factory order.

I think I will be Stinger shopping soon and hopefully get some good EOFY deals, but I REALLY REALLY WANT a red interior in either white or DCB (haven't decided). Unfortunately the rarity of red interiors do not bode well for bargain hunting. :(

Having driven a car with a black interior for the past few years, I would really like a brighter and more interesting interior.
