• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Australia-Specific Kia Stinger Discussion

Ugh changed my mind when my lease rep talked to me.

Apparently motorone with protektiv is lifetime warranty and is 3 layers. I can only have one invoice for Smartleasing which sucks so might go through them. What a wild ride. She assures the quality of their paint correction and application is top shelf.
Go protective

Couldn’t agree more with your comment, I only did that last Monday, noticed a blemish on my from guard that you could only see under artificial light at a certain angle, it wouldn’t wipe off with micro fibre cloth or a chamois, they rectified no charge.
Very happy with the overall finish & gloss especially after a wash & it also seems to stay cleaner longer.
Thanks guys making me feel more confident going with them.

Any product the dealer is offering comes at an inflated price and could earn them up to maybe 30% commission. There are numerous shops in Sydney (no doubt Newcastle too) doing ceramic and the price and guarantee period usually varies according to the number of coats applied. Regardless of who does it or what it's called the active ingredient is basically the same...silicon dioxide (what glass is made of). You have a few weeks to do some more research before making a final decision.
Here's some info I found on Protketiv
Protektiv HYDRO - On the road - Automotive

If it's backed by lifetime warranty I should be pretty safe. It's a big commitment doing all those but looks like my lease will be $717 a fortnight for 5 years with an 18k balloon.
Quite pricey I know but it breaks down to:
-$4,800/year in fuel
-$900/year in maintenance
-$1000/year in rego/CTP
-$875/year in insurance
-$915/year in tyres

Aswell as the car being $60,900 and including installation of Blackvue 750s-2ch front and rear dash cam, the protektiv interior/exterior ceramic protection with lifetime warranty with tint and small damage repair which will cost me $28 per call out.

This is the most I have ever spent and not sure about leasing but a loan over that period plus all the inclusions would come out at a higher figure according to my calculations.

Signing my life away now....

Capped service first yr will cost about 450
No matineence first yr
Rego, well it’s way cheaper over here in WA
I paid 795 for insurance
Tyres, you lucky if you need a set in 2-3 yrs.

If I don't spend it, it stays in the kitty and I can use whatever is leftover towards the balloon payment.
So freaking excited.
Get my shoulder operated on tomorrow.
Get my car 28th of Feb.
Get my kids back 12th of March.

If they told you the 28th I’ll guarantee it’s already in a stock holding yard somewhere in OZ & your dealer will pull out all stops for you to take delivery by months end.
