• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Australia-Specific Kia Stinger Discussion

PPF not me, i have the ceramic coating and im still not convinced on its benefits versus its cost. Yes you don't need to wax but the lustre appears to wain. And once a year you need an inspection to keep the warranty and this cost $66, it involves some sort of reapplication. I just had my inspection and the shine is blinding.

Im thinking if you keep your own waxing regime up you may get similar results. My back doesn't allow me to polish so for me ceramic coating tipped the scales.

As stinger gtss says probably get the dealer to do it. The difference to mine is $400 more expensive but you get the dealer warranty. Mine was done incorrectly and had to be partially re-done and was a real hassle to finally get them to come out.

I have 2 sugars in my cappucino btw lol.
And as they all know lactose free milk:D

Hmm I'll ask them about the yearly fee, my dealer is doing my ceramic and interior for $1500 with windows tinted, did yours cost $1900? :O
I'm sure mine will come with dealer warranty if they are doing it.

Do you say what's in your coffee before every coffee run you do?

The standard Kia film is very thin according to others. Xpel and Suntek seem to be the best with good warranty.
Done 8000km now and not a sign of any blemishes to PPF but to be fair, Stinger is under cover most of the time and I don't drive in conditions likely to cause stone chips.

Cheers for the info mate

What colours do you think would suit a ceramic grey paint with plates...

I would love to know what everyone thinks of this Small Damage Repair | Smartleasing
I'm fairly sure they go through motorone
I can include it on my lease for $999 over 5 years. It gives me unlimited call outs with no excess. Could work out better than PPF with the ceramic coating.
Haven't heard of it before but it could prove beneficial if you do a lot of highway driving. Also, stinger alloy wheels are very fragile and can cost up to $300 for a proper repair so once again it could be beneficial. On the flip side, Motorone wouldn't market the product unless it could make profit. I guess it all comes down to the driving conditions you're most likely to encounter.

Be sure to get the slim line plates. White looks to be cheaper in price.

Motorone charge $55 per call out but my leasing company covers that in the $999 over 5 years. So basically would need 20 callouts to make it free haha

I like the blue but it's a matter of personal choice.
