Just installed mine and the driver’s side intake filter won’t really seat. Forced everything that direction and the clamp slides right down the flange of the filter toward the actually filter side.

This loosens the filter from the piping. Looks like agency power should have added a bevel at the end of the piping to keep the clamp from sliding down and off the piping.

Sounds beautiful, looks great... but fitment isn’t the best.

Do your shield have a drainage hole on the bottom? And I agree fitment is not perfect ... do your hood close flush ?

Same issue. I wiped everything with isopropyl alcohol, pushed the filters deep into the tube and only tightened the clamps just enough.

Same, haha.... still not “thrilled” but it’s holding. Thinking about running doubled sided tape around it or something.

Just makes me uneasy.

There has to be some adhesive for this purpose. There was something on the turbo flanges (residue) I couldn’t get off after taking the OEM intake tubes off. But I’m worried something would break down and get sucked in. Lol.

Maybe some high temp tape on the outside

Mine has holes and fitment is absolutely perfect. Hood closes flush and everything tightens nicely. With that said, it took me quite a while playing with the whole set up to get it to all fit perfect - including the filter. It felt like a giant puzzle but in the end was worth doing. It also took me a minute to realize the driver side Intake came with the nozzles reversed. My advice - Take your time, go slow and it will fit correctly.

0ne tip for those installing. I ran across a small issue of my own doing. Drivers side. I didn't get the angle quite right on the pipe and the cover was pushing the filter off the end of itself... even when tightened down properly.
Solution for me was to rotate the coolant hose counter clockwise (looking at the car) about 45 degrees to allow the pipe to be more upright. It gave me more than an inch of gap between the hose and the intake also, which is good.

Again, not a product issue but one that I caused by not tightening down things in the right order. Though, i think rotating that hose ends up being a great way to give you more room on that side either way.

Yes we have. It isn’t an angle thing... it’s the shape of the intake tube... as you apply even the slightest compression on the filter band to secure the cone filter , it begins to slide off the intake tube.

That piping looks like the flange shorter. It’s more than just the hose.

It won’t fit perfect the early version for one don’t have drain hole and there were minor fitment issues. Obviously yours seems to be an updated version which is good because they payed attention to the complaints and fixed it,now for us that got the older version were fuc### we just need to deal with it.

Oh man - I wasn’t aware. Have you tried reaching out to agency power about swapping to the newer version? May be worth the call if you haven’t tried.

Lol hahahahaha sorry I am not laughing at you. That’s good one but I am pretty sure they already have my money lol , we will leave it at that. When I reached out to Agency for my original concerns/complains they disregarded my complains but it’s funny that now there selling updated versions. I let you be the judge if I should call them. But you know what just for the hello of it I will.

Just installed the set and now understand the issues you guys came up with.

I love the sound and the set looks awesome!

I do not like the fitment. The set does not feel like it has been developed by professionals that care. It looks good, similar to stock but too little effort is put in it to make it fit properly
- BOV return hoses and EVP return hose connections: why, o why is the placement and angle completely different from stock making it neccesary to twist, turn and even cut a hose to make it fit.
- Tapering on pipe’s filter-side make the clamp slide away. Since filter fits over the untapered part too, why, o why did they put that on and why is there no beading at the end?
- Rectangular connections to stock fender inlets are too small. Had to grind away the sharp edge on the inside to be able to push it forward enough. Without that, the screwholes would not line up. I am curious if that might be the reason of hoods (bonnets) not being flush. If the rectangular part does not slide fwd enough and you force the screws to reach the holes the top part of the shell will come up!
- Room enough on drivers side pipe. So why not making the pipe a little longer so that I do not have to turn the coolant hose. Stock pipe is a little longer too!

Still think this is one of the best concepts to the basics of CAI’s but the fitment turns me off. Would not recommend.

I feel like this is the best intake system available today. Deciding on whether I should buy it over the BMS I have.

Did anybody make an air filter surface comparison with stock?

And how are IAT's compared to stock when at a standstill or driving slow?

Mine still heated up after long stand stills but cooled down a subjectively ~75% quicker than my DIY homebrew set-up.

@STINGER, the AP filters have an estimated 1.5 the amount of filter surface compared to the BMS. Bigger diameter and a secondary cone. And the AP set starts at the turbo, so smooth surface all the way.
