700BHP+ LAP3 Stinger GT

Angel, this is where we are standing for the ECU tune & the turbo kit.
Awesome please keep us updated here on the forum on the progress made. I hope that you have it done by March of 2019.

That manifold design is exactly what I had in my head. Are these XT26 turbos Ball bearing CHRAs?

is this a shop car or customer's car? Please keep us updated on how it handles the power and specifically if anything fails.

I don't want to assume too much, but on xcargot's website the only turbo listed as ball bearing is the XT30R. The rest are listed as full floating bearings.

It's a customer's Stinger.
However a few in the company have heavily modded KDMs with good power.

We have the right guys developing a turbo kit for the stinger lol .... love it keep us updated

@LAP3 Tuning Why the choice of the Xcargot turbo instead of a GTX Gen2? or their new G-series turbo? Just curious.

XCargot is a performance brand of the OEM turbo supplier for Hyundai & Kia.
We've worked with Hyundai and Kia on a lot of things in the past, and we work closely with XCargot since the brand launch.
The XCargot Turbos are proven for great reliability, and we love the engineering behind the XT26, especially on smaller displacement motors.
The spool up is just as good as the stock turbo as you can see from the dyno result, and it doesn't run out of efficiency.

Do you have compressor maps for the Xcargot turbos to compare?

@LAP3 Tuning do you guys offer ecu tunes for the stock turbos outside of SK? not sure if it's even possible being so far, but figured I'd ask

edit: I see the method you would use - spare ecu...which I like, but will you have a tune for the stock turbos?

Regarding the ECU tunes for the stock turbos, this is what we have been working on over a year.
(See the quote below)

That's been the only hold up. Otherwise, we would have been offering ECU tuning & Turbo upgrade kits on the same year the car came out; just like we have already done so for the other KDM platforms including Elantra Sport, Veloster Turbo, and etc. We have been working on the OBD Encryption solution for over a year now for the Stinger. Our goal was to wrap it up by end of this year, but it's taking a bit longer than we expected. We proceeded to get the turbo upgrade done any way. Once it is finished, we will offer our ECU tune on a spare ECU, with the BDM port sealed and baked with epoxy, so no one can open up the ECU and read our data. The OBD encryption will be applied on the ECU, disabling the OBD-II read function to protect our ECU tuning data.

Would this mean that a device such as the Torque plugin wouldn't be able to read sensor data for logs?
