<40K for a GT2?

0% is better than the 2.9% with 2k rebate if you're financing most of the car. If you pay off the car immediately the lease buyout is a little cheaper, if you need to finance the entire thing conquest + 0% financing is a little cheaper.

I think you're misunderstanding... The $3k conquest/loyalty rebate you get regardless of if you do 0% or 2.9%. If you want the *extra* $2k financing rebate you have to do the 2.9%

So, Horne Kia in Gilbert, AZ has claimed now five times that there are no lease incentives on 2018 GT2 AWD even after me showing them the Kia site. I think they must be drunk.

How could any dealer say that with a straight face when you provide the facts. Man some finance people are clueless. Had a guy told me the lease numbers I wanted were not possible and wanted to know how I was coming up wih]th my numbers. Sent him to their company’s site had him plug in the numbers and he told me that the results were incorrect and don’t know how they came up with it. He called me a few days later to come in so they could work up some numbers. Told him nope, that’s not happening, give me the deal I asked for and I’ll come sign and take delivery. Got another car that same day and took it to his shop so he knew he lost a deal.

At the end of the day he finally saw the lease rebates... But refused to honor his price that is still listed online. Claimed it was a combination of rebates on a purchase. I showed him the other exact models that were labeled identically but priced differently and he still wouldn't honor it. He ended up 3k higher than his price and I am reporting it to Kia corporate.

I showed him the deal from the dealer in Oregon and he claimed his deal was the same. Even he knows that is bullshit. The discount was reduced by 3k to try and make money on the deal. The sad part is the dealer adds and this change in price make it silly to trade. If he dumped the adds and honored his price I'd be signing new lease papers tomorrow. Instead I told him to have a good night and think about changing his price online if he refused to honor it going forward.

Wish I had found this site earlier. I bought a 2018 GT2 AWD yesterday and I'm feeling a bit burned after seeing some of the prices in these posts.
MSRP: $52520
Purchase Price: $48435
KIA Rebates: -$6500
Cost before trade/tax/fees: $41935

So while it's a "deal" it's hardly a great deal.

I'm currently in negotiations in Ohio to $40,964. So your before price doesn't seem too off. That's still 10.5K off sticker price.

Edit: What's the tax rate in your state?

What dealer is this with?

Here in GA it's 7%.

From some of the posts I've read, it seems I should have asked more from the purchase price.

Local dealer has $399.00 month lease/ zero down, on the Sunset yellow only. They are Limited edition GT1 AWD. Cars have all been completely resprayed by local top of the line company on state of the art equipment. Dealer bought every yellow one left on East Coast, and each respray is $10k. Picked mine up with 75 miles, first payment plus taxes. $800 out of pocket

The GT1 didn't come in yellow, only GT and GT2's

Hey guys....i did some negotiations this week. I feel like this is the week to get my Stinger....with Thanksviging Black Friday, and nearing EOM. I am torn w leasing and buying. I don't have 40k in cash, so there would be some financing. And only reason I'm entertaining buying is b/c of this site.......with the lease then buy. I digress.

I got quoted 40K for a Y18 Gt2 RWD w puddle lights. Thing is they said if I finance using 0% for 60 w KMF I would lose 2500 in rebates. Do you think this is true? I did run the numbers....at 4.5% loan I would be better off losing the 2500 and paying 42,500.

A few questions.....if I buy this car:
1) Is 40k a good deal here? Sticker is 50,400. Or do you think there is room for more?
2) In another post I read about possible KIA cash if you finance through them.......any info on this?

A few questions.....if I LEASE this car:
The dealer is waiting for me to 'present an offer'. Do I not care anymore about price of car? Can I just say '450/month 0 down' and if they agree, we are good? Or other way to do this? Per incentives money factor is .00197 I think, with a 24K residual.

Thanks for the help!

You can go 0 for 66..that'll lower payments..the Kia finance cash is only 2k, but you have to go 2.9 for up to 66 then..you are better off going 0%....car buying rule #1, never talk monthly payments...talk price of car, talk trade in value, payments will then fall with your financing options.

UCINN....does your car buying rule #1 work w a lease? If I negotiate the car to 40k, but the financing is so bad the car leases at $600 but I want to spend $500, what did I solve? Trying to understand how to get a best deal on a lease. thanks!
