Yeah stock primary and secondary cats. Surprisingly enough the drone seemed less bad on my way home from work. I will see how it goes as the exhaust breaks in.

Comfort mode isn’t bad at all on the Highway. 2000-2500 is definitely loud in the cabin. But it’s awesome. Sport mode is a different animal all together. I wonder if it’s the exhaust breaking in or us getting used to the new sound? Should be interesting over the next couple weeks. One thing I will say is that having an active exhaust has really met my needs so far. I definitely like the option to rev things up or tone it down.
Not sure how much I am looking forward to putting the MBRP on mine, I already have the UP downpipes on there and it's loud enough (provided, I still haven't put on the tips yet), but I'm not going to mess with the tips until I get a stainless exhaust on there, the stock "tips" are f*ck ugly.

Yeah it may be just me getting used to the exhaust. My previous car had a louder exhaust but with less drone. I ordered some cheap 4inch long 2.5in stainless couplers and clamps. I plan on spraying them black with high temp enamel and getting them just shy of flush with the fake tips, similar to how the stock 2022+ exhaust was. Only going to cost about $60 so worth the test.
But you're right, the comfort mode is reasonably quiet and the sport mode is quite a bit louder. Both are louder than either mode with the stock exhaust though.
Also if you haven't already, clean out the fake tips, they're probably full of the grease/oil from the exhaust manufacturing process. I know mine were after the first highway drive.

I did notice the grease on the ovals. That’s a good catch.
I am also interested in seeing how your hack works on extending the exhaust outlet a few more inches. That’s a good idea. Keep us posted.
Actually David at K8 contacted MBRP right away and they overnighted me the other side. The car is at the shop right now getting the install completed. I will circle back after I pick it up.
I have not experienced the level of customer service that David and his team provide anywhere these days. 10/10 for service and communication. MBRP sending me the correct part so quickly speaks volumes about their reputation for quality as well.
I just treat my customers the way that I would want to be treated, and unfortunately nowadays it’s something that you don’t find with ordering online from small businesses or big businesses. Without you guys, we wouldn’t have a business to operate, so thank you all for your support.
Many people don’t know that I run the K8 stinger Store and the K5 Optima Store by myself, with just the help of (1) person @Daniel @ K8 Stinger Store and we recently brought on another personnel to help online. I’m not always able to make everyone happy but I sure try my best and again thank you all for your support in trusting our small business to order from. There are a lot of places to purchase things online, but I can tell you that when you order from me and my company, I will always go above and beyond to take care of you!
For anyone that was wondering, the openings are 5.25" wide and 4.5" tall. Oval tips that are 5" wide and 4" tall would look pretty good in my opinion.
As far as the MBRP system with secondaries, resonators help a ton and are a must!! The R1012 from MBRP are what I used after the X pipe. Will get some pictures and video likely tomorrow when it's not raining.

First time I’ve heard of this and looked at them in the MBRP site. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but did you have to cut the length of the exhaust pipe to install these? I’ve been looking for an install guide and didn’t notice one. I assume you need 2 R1012s.

We also have these in stock in our warehouse if anyone wants to order, that way it ships from here in the US with 3 day shipping or less anywhere in the US.
So it’s been about a week driving now with my new MBRP. I love it. I’ve never had an aftermarket exhaust and wasn’t used to the sound and feel of things. But I can tell you that there is a big difference between Comfort and Sport mode. I had a guy in a loud Camaro do a few pulls with me on my commute home. Sounds awesome. I don’t plan on making any mods any time soon to the exhaust or tips. If one day there is a plug and play tip solution, I will partake. But for now, I will be digging the sick sound of this exhaust.

Yes, I cut both middle sections. One end of the resonators slip over the X pipe section and are clamped there and the other end I had welded to the remaining pipe of the middle section.
Yes, you'll need 2 total. This is ONLY necessary if you have aftermarket secondaries. From people's reviews of the MBRP on their car with factory secondaries, there's minimal drone.
The new MBRP does sound pretty sweet on most vehicles, but I saw someone on here that had UP primaries and secondaries with an MBRP (Possibly the valved version) and it sounded like hell, so I might not go that route.
Has anyone ran Ultimate Performance Downpipes with a Megan Racing exhaust?
I am taking my 22 gt1 in for some R&D on a new exhaust today. It won't be valved just yet, but will have that option in the not too distant future. That is all I can say at the moment, but I am excited about the prospects for this one! I hope to have the car back on Halloween.

Please let me know how they work or for you, after doing the cat back and now the mid pipes I desperately need to attach this exhaust to an actual tip. Just want to order one that has been proven to work and not fall off like I've heard about the $1k borla tips! Thank you!!
Just installed my exhaust today and let me tell you it's loud without the midpipes. Definitely going to have to look at options to curb the drone as well.
Just installed the ark mid pipes and holy loud and rasp!!! I went from loving the exhaust to now I think I have to take the dp's off! Any ideas of how to hello with the rasp and drone besides actual tips. Thank you
I contacted them my self and was told by the end of the year it should be done. The guy put me on a update list so when I get information I can share with the community.

Tips and a pair of resonators are a must if you have the mid pipes! I contacted MBRP and the recommended I install their R1012 resonators, 1 on each side after the X pipe. Had that done Saturday and the drone and rasp is pretty much non-existent. Got some video of it that I still gotta upload to YouTube. Gonna cut it with the other video I made to show both Sport and Comfort before and after resonators.
