3.3TT '22 Exhaust Questions?

The carbon fiber surround next to the black diffuser will make gaps less noticeable.

The resonators I ordered from MBRP, part number R1012, will be here on Wednesday so hopefully I can get my buddy to weld them up by Saturday.

I'm still going to try the inserts I posted to hopefully quiet it down in comfort. Not too concerned if it reduces flow.

Just seen the videos of MBRP new exhaust I like it. Anyone heard from borla yet want to see what's up with them as well

So I my exhaust showed up a day late but was working on installing it when I realized they sent me two right muffler assemblies!

So I'm guessing someone else is about to get two left mufflers! I just emailed K8 store to see what we can do about this but if anyone is waiting on their shipment, check to make sure you have a left and a right muffler.

I am sorry to hear that this happened. We will look into it ASAP for you so we can get this resolved.

Just installed my exhaust today and let me tell you it's loud without the midpipes. Definitely going to have to look at options to curb the drone as well.
How long did the install take and was it reasonably clear from instructions. Trying to decide if I have the time to do it myself or bring to a professional.

First exhaust I've ever put on and it was minimally difficult. If you have the tools shouldn't take longer than an hour or two.

Guessing I’m the lucky one with the other side. Damn!! Not even sure how this will get resolved.

Sorry this happened to you, as discussed through email, we were able to have MBRP overnight you the correct side all the way from Canada, so you should have that tomorrow.

I do apologize for the inconvenience with this.

We're really sorry to see this happened to you and another member here.

Don't worry at all, this is the difference working with us vs other vendors.

We were able to have MBRP ship out the other side overnight to the 1st customer this happened to, and most likely will have them do the same thing for you as well.

I already replied to your email, and will get back to you ASAP tomorrow when we hear back from MBRP.

Thank you for your support of our small business here, and again I apologize this happened.

Just got mine on today and let me say... Holy shit it sounds good. A bit louder than I expected tbh, and that's a good thing. Hardest part of the install was getting that stock crap outta there. Can't believe how restricted the stock pipes are. Can't wait for it to break in a bit, but the tone is great. Nice throaty touch to it.
Haven't experienced much drone yet. Pretty quiet unless under acceleration. Fitments great, probably going to get tips at some point just for the look though. Glad I waited for this one 10/10

Love this, please make sure to leave a review for us on the product page to let others know your awesome feedback!!

You are usually sent an automated review request 2 weeks after the exhaust is shipped. :)

Are there any stock stingers in California? :)

Finally got the Active MBRP exhaust installed last night. Everything fit up nicely, and the valve open/close seems to be pretty well integrated using the stock actuators. That being said, before you install the mufflers, make sure the little spring thing on the actuator is properly seated into the small adapter piece on the MBRP valve. As you can see, mine in the photo below was not.

Sound notes- Sounds pretty good under hard acceleration but there is a lot of drone between the 2-2.5K RPM mark. I am going to let the exhaust break in a little bit but I am thinking I may need to fab up some blocking plates similar to what is on the Jun BL exhaust or put some tips on it. I did pull the mufflers back as far as the hangers would allow so that as much of the exhaust was in the fake tips as possible, but it still doesn't extend that far out, definitely less than the stock exhaust.

Install probably took around 1.5-2 hours all said and done, I also threw some wheel spacers on it while I had it on stands so that took some extra time.

Hoping they get it resolved for you as well. But unless that picture is mirrored somehow, it looks like you also got two right sides. So either MBRP is making a bunch of rights instead of lefts or they are sitting on a stockpile of left mufflers right now.

Actually David at K8 contacted MBRP right away and they overnighted me the other side. The car is at the shop right now getting the install completed. I will circle back after I pick it up.
I have not experienced the level of customer service that David and his team provide anywhere these days. 10/10 for service and communication. MBRP sending me the correct part so quickly speaks volumes about their reputation for quality as well.

Great to hear! Yes, I cannot commend folks at K8 store and MBRP enough on how they handled this. Top tier suppliers for sure.
