Has anyone had problems with the 2.0 jerking violently when accelerating?
I recall reading something similar from one other member. Try using the search function. Have you chipped your car?Has anyone had problems with the 2.0 jerking violently when accelerating?

Yes it's in the shop nowNothing like what you have described. Best to have it looked at, suggest maybe checking the spark plugs and coil pack. If not those maybe the vacuum lines.

Please keep us posted!Yes it's in the shop now
It spudders and jerks when accelerating mostly in the morning or going UP hill. Can you describe the violent jerking and the situations it happens in?
I had a bit of a shudder earlier today but I was trying to accelerate over some rough road and I thought it was just traction control kicking in but thinking back I don't think I should have lost enough traction for that to happen.

Hey everyone,
I posted last week sometime about my 2.0 having really bad performance issues with stuttering and high RPM and no acceleration. I was asked to capture it on video, and I have. Let me preface this by saying I know the engine is showing cold and that I shouldn't be driving that hard on a cold start, but, when I started my car today, the engine made a stuttering / stalling noise and almost shut off. I then reversed, and upon backing out of my spot, the car stuttered...at less than 3 mph. I could feel the car on edge of stuttering as I was driving out of my apartment complex, and my first huge stutter came when I made a left turn onto the main street.
I decided at this point that I had no choice but to record my speedometer, even on a cold start with full acceleration. In the video, you can see that I hit about 4500 to close to 5k RPM and my acceleration doesn't go anywhere after 55 MPH. And I hold this acceleration for good 10-15 seconds.
I've got an appointment with the dealership for the 31st, but now I'm wondering if I need to get it in ASAP. Let me know what you think.
I had the exact thing happening to my 2.0. There is a TSB related to the transmission. My dealership was familiar with it, made the repair and it has stopped.
Hope you get it repaired soon, it is dangerous as I almost got in an accident due to this.
If you have the 2.0 there is a TSB out for this. Dealer should be aware but ask them about it. It resolved the same issue for me, happened especially when it was cold out and my car had been sitting for several hours.
Ahh! I see. Okay, we have it already.
Issue Number SA333 - 2018 Check Automatic Transmission Fluid Warmer Connector
Good to know, and keep us all posted! Finally got MY Stinger back ,they replaced the GDI PUMP and fuel pipe .Seems to be okay for now
YES!! Fuel pump, pipe and a static gear shift logic as well.......seems a lot of the 2017 build dates have had this problem.

Yes I barely got one and it has began dping that at the dealership right now.not sure wth but very dangerous especially when on freeway with a car behind me as I'd I'm slamming my breaks
Sound alot like the stuff the 1st owner of my car went thru!! He had a transmission logic done a wastegate removal X2!!and the fuel line pump replaced.......I have over 1500 miles on her with zero problems, so there is a light at the end of the 2.0 tunnel...my build date was 11/17, yours was right next to mine when the drunk korean came into work that day.....Very first issue, had RPM’s well up over 6K/7K at 40-50 MPH with no acceleration. Felt like engine was going out as car dragged/stalled in the middle of the highway.
Screen says no memory card upon start up every time and instructs me to insert one for maps and GPS to work.
Dealership says nothing wrong because they couldn’t duplicate this issue! Told me my car had a computer system recall though. Parts on back-order with no ETA.
Ignition hesitating to start and sputters like it is going to shut of for the first few minutes after starting.
Car started jerking when accelerating on highway like a bucking horse, now they say bring it back again to see if this is a part of the recall and parts needed that they don’t have?
