2.0 Performance problems

So depressing that I’m still having this issue. Car has outright shaken violently and stopped twice while sitting completely still!

RMP surges and loss of power are continual when driving causing car to lurch and jerk....yesterday damaging wheels/tires!!!

Drove all night afterwards while recording until issue duplicated itself multiple times! Now that I have it recorded, I seriously wonder what will be the difference in my previous 5 visits to the dealership? Aside from them knowing I’m not making this up?

The level of insanity for these people to think I have nothing better to do than sit at the dealership and lose time off work is utterly ridiculous!

The car is beautiful and fun when it runs properly; but my dangerous experience has been more than enough for me!

They replaced the ECU in April along with the SD card which just stopped working. And while the crazy dash lights have ceased....still no relief for the engine issue. I’m done!

Have they replaced the GDI pump? I went through the same thing and finally having the high pressure GDI pump in the engine replaced solved the issue.

I pulled all my bulletins......when I got the car , even talked to the previous owner...some of the first run 2.0's had their issue's no question, but by and larg they are all (for the most part) fixable......Mine had fuel rails ,a new pump,2 turbos r/r'd and all the other dealer related recalls....knocking wood so far.

Was this covered by warranty? It looks like it was . But I'd like to know for sure.
My stinger did this to me today. I'm shocked because it has been a really great car. Ty in advance

Wow, this is an old thread. Yes, this was covered under warranty. However as an update I kept having issues and had other items replaced, but eventually had a complete engine failure and had the engine replaced under warranty. Took two months. A couple other forum members had their engine replaced as well. She's running perfectly now and I'm thankful that Kia service was great every time, but I'm likely going to trade it for another vehicle.
