3.3TT New STILLEN Intake and Cat-Back Exhaust Coming Soon

Ya know, as we keep replying to this thread, we do keep helping them get more potential business, BUT...

Looking at the Dynojet dyno looks a little curious. I've always taken my cars to Dynojet dynos so that I can stick with the relatively typical 15% drivetrain power loss at the wheels. This has proven to be fairly (and again, relatively) accurate to what the factory rates at the crank versus the results at the wheels.

342.87 wheel HP is 403.38 crank HP. Even if the Stinger GT is underrated, it seems strange to be underrated by a whopping 35 HP. Are we sure this was dyno tested on a bone stock Stinger GT? o_O Starting at 340 WHP just screams at least an exhaust system.
From my understanding this is a stock Stinger but if the values were to be inflated wouldn’t both the base line and secondary test be equally as inflated? At the end of the day we are looking at the difference compared to the base line which is what the manufacturer boasts, not the actual HP/TQ value.

In this industry it’s easy to get excited about a product release. Setbacks also happen and when pairing the two it doesn’t look good in the public’s eyes. We appreciate everyone’s patience as it’s worth the wait!

All this information/estimated ship dates are listed on the website. We are expecting more photos of the intakes which I think everyone has been asking about. Im traveling all today and tomorrow with spotty service so I haven’t been able to keep up with that bit of information but I’ll be sure to upload any new photos when I can
Cool, can't wait to see what you get!

To everyone who has been waiting patiently for us to release our Stinger GT intake, we thank you.

We've had our first production article out on the road for the past 8 weeks for 5,000+ miles of testing since we refuse to release any product that hasn't been fully vetted. The test car finally came in today so that we could remove the first article and install our production model. Since we did not want to release photos of the first article, we were able to get photos of the production intake that I will be posting here tomorrow.

We have not taken any pre-orders or anyone's money at this time.

We will announce the release and begin taking retail and wholesale pre-orders tomorrow on a first-come-first-served basis.

Thanks again to everyone for being supportive during the wait. Keep your eyes here tomorrow!

I have seen other stock dynos, one from a member, that are very similar. It’s very underrated from the factory which makes sense. A 365 hp 3800 lb cars normally don’t make 0-60 in 4.5 seconds ;)

Glad to hear - very much been looking forward to seeing some more details on this. Hopefully your posting tomorrow will answer a number of questions ...

Just did a brief search and this is a compilation of what I found...

Has anyone had any experience with an AEM dry flow filter or another similar brand. The K&N cone style filter on my GTP is trashed and I was thinking of trying the AEM filter but I have not seen anyone discuss this filter. From what I understand it is a washable filter with out the oil.

I have one on my Subaru, but it is the panel type to fit the Subaru's factory air cleaner box, not a cone filter. I'll probably get mocked for saying it, but I can tell a difference. Seems to pull slightly better near the top end when throttle is opened up. AEM is an owned subsidiary of K&N. My AEM DryFlow arrived with K&N shipping labels on the box. It is washable and the media is dry, not oiled. Seems solidly built.

I replaced the K&N on my '68 Camaro with an AEM. It looks really well built and works fine. I always forget to clean & oil K&N filters so AEM is the way to go for me. I also bought their "prefilter" (a fine nylon bag) to go over it. Since in my application the filter element is exposed to the engine compartment, any drops of oil or liquid could get on the element.

I think the AEM Dryflow media is in the top tier but, per square inch,it doesn't flow as well as a K&N or some other "High Performance." In fact, when I flowbenched a drop in element in my F150 airbox two years ago, it flow slightly less than a new Motorcraft element. Didn't stop me from using it, as I am after efficiency rather than a few CFM at 5000+ rpm.

AEM still wants you to buy their synthetic air filter cleaner for cleaning. This was what turned me away. BUT only since K&N came into the picture. Before that, they suggested Simple Green. Now in the FAQ they suggest their whiz bang stuff or "a mild multi-purpose cleaner." The AEM is pretty durable media.
AEM is owned by K&N. Basically the same filter just one is oiled.

It looks like the plastic shroud covering the filters is also blocking the airflow from the grille ducts. Am I seeing this wrong?

I don't have FB but nothing on their IG yet.

The test person that has it tells me it’s fully closed box and they had K&N before.

Well based on those last pics it's definitely not fully closed. I'm just wondering if it's actually wrapped around the filters in the front instead of having a cutout to bring fresh air in from the stock ducts. It doesn't look like it.

The ducts came from the sides of the car, not from the grill. I think Jonny Tigs version gets the air from the grill.

Really? You positive?

I thought I remembered seeing them in the front of the stock box when I changed out my filters. I'll have to go look again.

The air comes from the front side of the radiator bulkhead in the stock setup. The Jonny Tig version cuts away a fair amount of plastic to enlarge that opening and inserts aluminum 'scoops'.

If these are pictures of the production setup, they seem at odds with the marketing text on the K8 site, which states that the filters are 'fully enclosed', and 'draws on cold air from behind the grille, for optimum performance.'

I'm not joining Facebook just to try and get product information, and certainly not pre-ordering with the conflicting and limited information provided so far. We need to see the components and details - including picture of the parts provided 'off the car' so we can actually see what we would be getting and how it's plumbed.

I double checked. Stock ducts come from the front.

But I guess we'll see...

There is nothing on Facebook to see that isn't here in this thread. Just a vendor posted the same pictures that were posted here on our FB group.
