As I have already speculated: Kia will use the compensation to cover additional costs of the repaint, first. Any leftover would have to be applied to the cost of the car, i.e. lowering your outstanding balance by that amount (for the handful of people who have already bought their Yellows outright and owe nothing, Kia would offer some kind of in-house perks, like free tires or other freebies, etc.). Kia will not write cheques for you guys to cash, or "I will have to pick my jaw up off the floor". So, we wait and see. Shouldn't have to wait long for the first reports coming in about how this five grand is being given.
