Trying to ascertain build date vs chips, dont count bumper headlight issues only major chipping on rest of body.
Please refrain from making more comments about chips. I want those to stay in the paint chip thread. If you need to post just state colour and build date. This thread is to gather data only with the poll above.

Ceramic Silver. Build date is November 17. Purchased first week of February and have 9k miles. I pay close attention not to tailgate people.

No abnormal paint issues.

I'm only posting so that I get updates on this thread/poll. I don't have any paint failure issues on my car.

The poll says "if you have paint chip issues". I don't. A vote from me will skew the results. That's why I posted my experience instead.

Wow, the poll is less than an hour old, and already 3 votes (including mine) for Nov 2017...

Going to be hard to tell if that's because of build date or duration of ownership. Even if a May 18 build has the exact same paint issues as a Nov 17, they won't be seeing the same problems till December.

As for me, I'm a Nov 17 Micro Blue. Only one chip, and that one was well deserved, judging by the messed up plastic underneath. But I've only had the car 2 months and 1800 miles (RWD+Snow=My car sat in the showroom all winter). God only knows what I'll be seeing at 6 months and 6k miles.

"Veeery interesting". Six votes in, and all equally distributed between Nov and Dec.

Why would flakes, chipping, only show up from driving months? Why wouldn't failure manifest while sitting outside "all winter"? If your car is Nov17, and it has issues, they would be showing up by now. We have pics of cars sitting in sales lots with paint coming off, with virtually no miles on them.

Huh? Not only did I vote, but I've been posting in Paint Chip Issue for quite a while, I've been having issues two weeks after I bought the car in January. And this was my thread about it originally Paint Quality
Oh, there your vote is. I guess it took a bit to register. When I posted, there were only the six Nov/Dec votes showing.

That's just the headlights, which is it's own thing, and specifically being ignored in this poll based off of the first post. Mine has the headlight rub, but the body chips seem to be impact related (Or at least started that way), the cars with bad paint just don't handle them well.

It could also be UV, washing, temperature fluctuations from driving, etc. Mine was Showroom floor, so it wasn't really exposed to any of that.

i have a funny feeling December is going jump out way ahead.

You should have done a yes/no for each month and then calculated the percentages of occurrence. Your poll as it is provides no useful data as there isnt an even distribution of owners from each month.

SWP here build date 11/17 and no paint issues.

Also one thing take into consideration, since I've seen it mentioned on videos and posts here. The paint chip on the edge of the hood near the drivers side wiper arm (on LHD vehicles), does not count, no matter your color, as that is just caused due to improper servicing.

@forzanerazzurri "No useful data"? You speak in extremes. The data could be more useful done another way. But this poll is already producing useful data.

HiChroma Red, Build Nov 17, perfect paint.
