• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Kia Stinger - Australia discussions (pre-release)

Also I think he (Madman) is stitching all the pics, video and punchlines together to excite us all!
So he can have us salivating with great anticipation.

Im told the ceiling is quiet low as its a low roof line. Im 6'2" so im concerned. Hopefully someone can tell us the long and short of it.
I'm 5'10" and I was surprised how low you sit. There was plenty of head space I thought.

I didn't sit in the back, but I'm guessing you will be the driver.

Madman on your visit today, if you are, can you find out or even take a pic of the FRONT Lic Plate Block.
Curious to know what size it is (Width), will look stupid here with my Personalised plate measuring 84mm height x 372mm width.
Does it come from Korea with it or is put on by the dealer. I just hope they put it on here, if so, I can make sure they put on something to my size.

Also do the Brembo Brakes (discs)

The discs are plain.

The plate holder (front ) is approx 80mm x 290mm so should be fine. There's no rear one.

well guys I test drove my car today in queensland. I am 182cm tall can't sit in the back seat head is into the roof . In the front I have to have the seat as low as it goes and I have just over one finger thickness between my head and the roof but I will put up with that because the car is terrific to drive and I am in love !!! . The back seat passenger behind me will not be able to put their feet under the front seat. youi insurance has in insured the car for market value with 2 year new replacement for $567 per year . It is not on their list at the moment but the under writers have said they have put it in to be the same as a ssv redline I hope this will help you with your insurance. I don't know when I will be able to take delivery as kia won't allow it to be released yet .I hope to find out more tomorrow.

Wow! $567/year.. r u sure?
That's incredible. Gonna give them a call tomorrow.

That backseat can be a big problem for the sales. It is not a GT if you cant fit ppl in the back. Im wondering how much room there is in Panamera back seat ?

Yea the back seat is real tight. I’m 6’2’’ also. In the front with the seat low down there’s plenty of head room. A little snug but not tight or uncomfortable at all. Nice seat and driving position.

yes I am longer in the body which causes my problem with the head room. I can't drive a mustang or 370z because of it. I push the car hard thru the back roads of mt mee yesterday and it passed with flying colours compared to my old SS which was pretty good.

Apart from the head room hows the leg room?

Pretty tight with the front seats right make. The backs not ideal for normal sized adults, but for hobbits, devil children and fur kids no probs. The rear door opening is pretty small too due to the roof line.

cool video posted on Car Advice this morning comparing Stinger to SSV sprint times:

shout out if you like it!

I took 'my car' for a test drive this morning and is everything that I'd hoped. Still wrapped in pre-delivery plastics.
I agree that the headroom particularly in the rear is limited but more then ample in the front (I'm 6ft). Also agree with Skyguy that the rear door opening is tight but it's a sacrifice for the coupe feel. Really loved the interior ergonomics, everything is at you fingertips within close reach which I wasn't expecting.
Should be driving it home on Friday, fingers crossed.
Some Happy Snaps :p
