What did you pay for your Kia Stinger?

Looks like a real good lease especially considering you were able to get out of the optima lease.
Enjoy the new ride!
I owned the SXL and they are giving me $13,500 in cash for it. It has 57K miles. So, I am just banking that to make 21 payments for the Stinger and user present value of money to my advantage for a change.

FYI - I was on the phone last week with KIA Consumer Affairs. The Atlantica, according to them, has been postponed indefinitely. They are unclear at this time if the car has been cancelled, just postponed or if it will be combined with another limited edition. According to Consumer Affairs, all digital information on the Atlantica has been removed.

I look at this as hope '19 Stingers will just include the missing features, instead of them making it a special edition.

What features are you referring to? Wireless phone charging, 360 view and rear heated seats? anything else worth noting?

Yeah, those are the features I am referring to. The 360 cam is the main issue for me; not too worried about the wireless charging and rear heated seats. Also the suede-like headliner would be lovely for US cars.

Gotya. Personally, no big deal for me. I'd probably get my eyes crossed with the 360 view going back and forth from windshield to screen. Wireless charging only works with the latest rev of phones and the rear seat heating....really?? Headliner would be nice. Thanks.

My guess is that although the Stinger is selling, it is not blowing out the numbers. To me, this is a "sell what's on the truck in inventory" strategy. Personally, I wanted to wait on the Atlantica, but now that it is gone (for now) I reverted back to the red car. Imagine that logic about 300 times over. They probably just got ahead of their headlights.....and, teased the market with a "what if" thought in the process.

That is a good thought, they may just want to remove the idea of it but still plan on releasing it. Another thought is they didnt want to release it as a 'special edition' with only 500 of them and instead are making it a standard model for 2019 or (fingers crossed) are planning on releasing the 2019s with the other feature options (360 camera, etc). Im in no rush to buy fortunately so if they want to keep releasing these models without features that are found in cars that are $20000 cheaper they'll continue to just be kidding themselves if they want to compete at that price range with significant sales.

With an MSRP of over $50000 they need to do the following IMO:
1) 360 camera
2) Slightly more premium interior (nicer headliner, soft touch on the entire door and center console)
3) Improve the graphics/resolution of the infotainment.

If they want to pull buyers away from Audi/Mercedes/BMW they are going to also have to go to an all digital driver's console display with something similar to Audi including maps integration. That probably wont happen since the cost would probably be pretty significant and they arent really able to compete on brand name with those companies.

I agree with you all three of them, plus 10" screen and rip off that KIA logo.

White Stinger Premium for me. Purchased at Sunshine Kia of Miami. Sales rep named Brandon was awesome. Got the car for invoice pricing which was a little over 35k. factoring in the Kia Lease rebate( 3yr/12k) and the 2k they rolled into the lease from an upside down 2017 Niro lease buyout, my payment is only $425 and that's with $2k down that included first month, taxes and fees. Had it not been for the 2k rolled in from the Niro my payment would of been under $370 a month. great deal for a such a luxurious car.

For all You Canadians:
KIA OF BROCKVILLE,ONTARIO.
Aurora Black Limited with red nappa leather
$2500 dealer discount off MSRP.
$399 admin fee cancelled.
Due to arrive Friday May 11th.
My wife and I have owned a fair number of cars in the past, some higher end sports cars (Corvette C6 Z06, Camaro SS, Nissan GT-R, M-B AMG SL63), several of which we tracked regularly.
Dealership had a GT Stinger on the lot, sales manager put a plate on it, threw us the keys, and told me to spend the day with it. He specifically told me to drive it "hard, 'cause I want you're honest opinion as to how it compares to your other cars". Had it for a full half day.
OPINION---not quite as hard edged and performance oriented as some of our other cars, but a REALLY great job on Kia's first "kick at the can" on a performance car. Good compromise on a performance car that's also supposed to be a "Grand Tourer"! Interior fit and finish is 95% of the AMG C43!! My wife was blown away!! Having owned a Hyundai EXEL, decades ago, she couldn't believe how far Korean cars have come!!
Came back from the test drive, and 90 minutes later, papers for the Stinger signed!!
Absolutely awesome dealer experience!! As good as any in the past!!
HIGHLY recommended dealer!!!

I have a black / red interior GT2 and am so glad I went with this car. Initially, I was having doubts based on experience with some of the dealerships but I found a good one in chicago. No regrets. Congrats on your car. Btw I used to live in Kingston, Ontario...went to queen's.

Wow!! Small world!! That's 45 minutes away. Always like to visit Kingston! Such a nice town!!

Stinger Premium w/Driver Assist ($40,000 MSRP) for $30,650 out the door after Kia's $6,500 balloon financing cash rebate (that number does not include tax/registration but does include all dealer doc fees etc). These cars must be one of the greatest new car deals ever right now. I bought it after a quick test drive because I thought it was a great value for the money, but after driving it around a bit I think it is just a great car period. So cool.

I bought it the old fashioned way (face to face deal), but if you're not good at (or don't feel like) negotiating just use the Costco/AAA/USAA/whatever TrueCar style car buying service and buy it at a fixed discount off MSRP with doc fees shown up front. Then you only have to worry about getting the numbers on the lease or balloon paperwork right in the finance office ("Agreed Upon Value of Vehicle" should match your negotiated price) and make sure they tack on the $6,500 lease cash ("Capitalized Cost Reduction"). It will just take some reading of the lease threads to figure out what you need to watch out for. The balloon is pretty easy as there is no origination or buyout fee so the "Amount Financed" should be exactly equal to the deal you made on the car in the sales office (unless you agree to tack on extended warranty/road hazard/etc). The interest rate on the balloon is irrelevant since you're either going to refinance it or pay it off immediately anyway.

If the balloon is offered in your state then do the balloon as it's much cheaper and simpler than the lease buyout process. If the dealer tries to roll the lease cash into their end of the deal, then just walk away. You should be getting the $6,500 cash rebate from Kia PLUS whatever the dealer is willing to discount off MSRP on their end (which will depend on the dealer and the situation). Also do not let them tack on GAP coverage in the finance office since you won't have that loan for more than a couple of weeks anyway.

That is an amazing deal! I wonder if I could get a deal like that in California...

Hi, I bought my GT 3.3 last week for $62,500 drive away. White with mats tints and boot tray. Sydney Australia

Could somebody help I went to 2 dealers today to see the GT2 ceramic silver with red interior. They don’t want to go lower then $680 a month for 12k 36 months 2k down. I wanted to pay max 580 is that realistic?? I’m in the NY/NJ area.

@Kosh how did you get that deal

Sorry for the late reply ...

I got quotes from dealers all around NJ and some in PA ... shopped them against each other and then found a dealer near me that had the configuration i wanted in stock and got them to match the best deal I had found.

Probably helps that according to the finance manager (and their online inventory) they only moved 2 stingers including mine that month

Hard to say. You can try negotiating with some nearby dealers via email/text, but it can be hard to get them pinned down to a real deal sometimes. Costco/AAA/Sams Club/USAA car buying service may be a slightly easier way to get a decent deal off MSRP plus the lease cash. Note that I mentioned if the balloon financing isn't available in your state then you will have to do the lease deal which will add about $950 to the ultimate cost of the deal ($650 acquisition fee and $300 buyout fee), and it will mean that you have to deal with KMF's reportedly horrible lease buyout service.

I don't know if the balloon financing and associated rebates are available in California. You might have to call a few dealers and ask. Hopefully you get the same answer from each one!

Good luck!

A dealer in east coast gave me a lease quote for 12K/3years, 544/month(taxes not incl) and 744 is the down payment. Total cost of ownership comes around appr 20k without taxes. But he says car price is $47,000 after lease discounts. It was a quick conversation over the phone I believe I may have misheard him on the down payment.

But my question is, I believe for $20K ownership cost of the car should around $42K. Is it possible to keep the sticker price $47K and cost of lease is only $20K for 3 years??? I will clarify with the dealer but wanted to know if that is possible at all by lowering the interest rates etc..

The thing is I don't want to hurt my chances for buying off the lease without the discounts.

What is the MSRP of the car you are looking at? The end of lease purchase option price will be about 51-53% of that since that is the recent range of residual values on the Stinger (depends on your location and the trim level). So assuming $51,000 MSRP times 52% will give $26,520 residual value at the end of lease. Adding in the $20k total cost over 3 years to that puts you at a total of about $47k. So it seems plausible, but you should probably go to the "How to Buy a Stinger" section of the forum and read over some of the lease threads there to better familiarize yourself with other recent lease deals.

Personally $47k doesn't seem like a great price for the car after a $6000+ rebate from Kia, but it depends on how expensive the car is (GT2 AWD + other options?) and whether that includes doc fee & acquisition fee, etc. Many people are getting at least a couple thousand off MSRP from the dealer's side also, so I would definitely shoot for at least invoice price on the car (build your car out on KBB.com and go from there).

You will have to do a lot of digging to figure out where all the money is going in the deal. It's made complicated on purpose (not in your favor).
