{{ ImportShark }} NEW! NGM's Two New Axleback Exhausts

^^^ ok. How about the interior video so we can make an informed decision wrt drone?

It's not ridiculously loud actually. I've got some finicky neighbors and nobody complained when I was running around with the Zeta on my car for a while. While there is a bit of drone at about 3500rpm's, that's not where you'd be cruising on the highway, so it ended up being negligible. The car shifts right around there anyway, so I was happy it wasn't annoying or constant in the least. (Amen for that because I get headaches easily!)

Interestingly my wife randomly told me this weekend that I should make the car sound like a modded Mustang (we both love the way the 5.0s sound). I used to have a cammed/LT header Camaro SS with bullets dumped after the axle that she absolutely hated because of the negative attention it got from neighbors at the bus stop in the morning, so I was pretty surprised to hear her say that.

Can you get us any interior vids? Maybe with cruise activated at 1500 ish RPMs and then of the 3500 RPM drone you mentioned?

A video showing us how the exhaust sounds inside the car at crusing speeds isn't demanding.

Anyone who buys an exhaust based solely on what it sounds like outside/behind the car is an idiot. I don't know about you but most of my time driving my car is spent inside the cabin not on the street.

...yet how many manufacturers post vids inside the car...

Zero.

Zero.

How many companies have owners who are riding around in the same car WITH THE SAME EXHAUST ON IT?

Zero.

As an owner of a company shouldn't you strive to be better than the others, instead of mimicking their service?

Lmao. Is an in-cabin video really something you're unwilling to do? No sense in all the beating around the bush. Just say "no" if you're unwilling to turn on your camera on your way to work. Jesus.

*Edit* Never mind. I retract my request. Have a great day.

Wow.... Its a $500 exhaust........ Different story if you're paying 2k to 3k.

I'll give you a tip, it's going to Drone. Spend 3k on a bi modal exhaust and your won't have to worry, or bin this one if you're not happy........ Just saying

If it were free I wouldn't install it without knowing what it sounds like. I don't ride around with my ears plugged. The cost is irrelevant.

your won't have to worry

Oh...I'm not worried.

But as a past customer of his I didn't see it as a big deal. I wasn't asking him to go out and buy a Stinger and install the exhaust. He has the car with the exhaust already on it. It wouldn't have taken him 3 minutes to film and upload a video. And for him the 3 minutes of sacrifice could have landed him new customers and retained past customers. Instead, he replies nobody else does it.

I've been posting in this thread since March 9th, looking for updates. I won't be posting here anymore. Good day.

Guys, I already said that I don't have my car on me right now. It's being used for R&D on other parts we're working ridiculously hard on to bring to the market! If I had it right outside the office at this point, I'd run out there and rip around the corner for you with my phone taped to the dashboard. It's just not an option right now. The second I have the car back, I'll do my best to do so. Or I can try to find the vids that were posted on social media when these were first installed...

There was never pricing posted previously. Did I mention an estimate somewhere? I checked around and did not see anything. As per the update above, the single pipe (not clamped) versions are being started on right now. A big reason for this is actually due to feedback from community members such as yourself. NGM is also taking more time than they hoped getting the split-pipe version done, so they just figured they'd go with what they got for now and offer a second version of each not too far down the road.
I apologize in advance if I'm mistaken and its possible I lost my mind and just imagined it:confused:, but I swore they were initially listed on your website back in February for $195. I have also been quoted by a local muffler shop and seen other members describing Zeta style muffler-less axleback exhausts for $200-$250. So I made a note in my mind that you had the best deal and were first on my list of options.

Although under $500 shipped still seems like a relatively good deal compared to some catbacks it is almost double the expected cost so I will have some more debating to do. I'd prefer to support one of our vendors like yourself, and look forward to the other videos once you get your car back.

As they say, "Decisions, Decisions!";)

Hmm, maybe it wasn't me who mentioned that. Could have been just part of a discussion from other people? Either way, it would probably be extremely difficult to get something like this made for the $200 range with TIG welded high-end T304 stainless. I guess we'll see!

I agree I think the price is a tad high. but the quality is worth it. we also have to consider the shipping cost that is included in the price. shipping is not cheap! With that being said I've seen similar parts using the same material for different cars and seen prices more around the 350 - 400 mark shipped from the US. I believe these are coming from the other side of the world.

Correct, shipping is pricey and that drives the cost up a bit. Until NGM has full catbacks and downpipes for the Stinger—both 2.0 and 3.3–we aren’t going to import bulk inventories just yet. When a large inventory is on hand, the cost will probably decrease a bit. No ETA on that right now but if I had to guess, maybe August. Also, we’re taking the international market into account too. Customers in Australia, Europe, the Middle East, etc probably would appreciate the fact that we aren’t shipping from the US because that would drive up their pricing even more. Until we have the multi-piece clamped versions to use for international markets, it’s simple best for everyone for us to ship from our Asia warehouse. One thing at a time I guess.

I bought the omega a couple weeks back. He said it will be shipping out early May. Once I receive the product I will write a review. Side note: I will never ever buy another product from import shark. That's all I have to say. Avoid Importshark for everyone's reading pleasure.

That sucks. I really wanted the Zeta. My wife even approved it (she actually encouraged it!). But I just couldn't bring myself to give any more money to IS. At least I get to live vicariously through you. Hopefully everything works out. Post vids when you get it installed!
