Borla Exhaust for Kia Stinger

I'm still on the fence, My shopping cart is loaded but haven't whipped out the plastic yet. Kind of waiting for more videos to surface.

Id be curious to see what a bimodal version of this would run...lets hope the $1100 tips are not an indicator of how Borla intends to price "upgrades" to this? Then just have to find a nice spot to mount the button to turn on the sound!!

Mine is on the way so I'll be happy to post vids as well but I think Sarge did a great job with his vids.

On the website directly. Was going to opt for express shipping but got talked out of it by the mrs. She had a point though, that extra shipping costs would pay for the install.

I've got a pretty noob question, as someone who has never purchased any sort of exhaust upgrades before...

Does the fact that this Borla system has such sharp 90 degree turns into the muffler hinder performance at all? I get it sounds better, but does it effect performance at all, positively or negatively? Sorry if this was discussed in one of the other 8 pages. I'll admit I didn't read through the whole thing...

I haven't checked my email since the weekend. I see that borla sent me an email. Out of stock.... no expected date either. Guess I'll call them and see if they have an estimate.

Still no indication that it's sold out on the website.

They did that to me too, but two days later I got a shipping notice with tracking...

That's good news. I'll wait till the weekend and see if anything happens. I was about to cancel since they didn't even have an expected date.

Is that possibly why you got a stingerhaus only box. Since they were out of the regular?

Not sure what happened there... they were kinda limited im their communication ...

If you arent stomping on the gas it is louder than stock but not obnoxious... how you drive it really determines the volume level... IMO
You talked about pops when you let off the gas, are they noticeable? I love the popping sounds!!

Is there any performance gain from this exhaust, I have yet to find an exhaust for the stinger that is 3in diameter, and aside from Jun BL none provide any numbers. input anyone?

Magnaflow seems to have a straight through design which I'm looking forward to. usually, anything with a straight through design has the best performance.

I like Magnaflow's exhaust because it gets rid of the stupid restrictions of the stock exhaust without adding too much noise. Couple that with a tune and you got yourself a nice quiet sleeper.

That's the plan, Just have to be patient and follow closely. It seems like every product that gets released sales out within days lol.

honestly, in your 2nd clip where you are revving the engine and then take off, it brought back a recent memory of me standing behind our stinger as the mrs was sitting in it because i wanted to see what the taillights looked like to see if i should have them tinted. told the mrs to step on brakes, she did and took off........as i stood there watching her recede into the distance, a car pulls up next to me with an older couple driving and the husband leans over and looks at me and says, you probably deserved that, while his biddy of a wife looked on with a sneer. gee, thanks pops. can't catch a break.

You were right sarge. Just got a shipping email. No tracking number though.

Not sure if it was perception over reality but I felt there was an improvement in power. Also I think the choke point on these cars are the cats .... so unless you replace the downpipes and delete the cats I am not sure 3" pipes would produce an increase in power...not an engineer...also if you delted the cats it would likely cause errors in the computer...not sure it would be worth all that om a car with almost 400 hp as it is...
