What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Great intercooler. I tried installing one on mine but it wouldn't fit without DRASTIC mods ( to Aus delivered Stingers which have a different bumper ) so I bailed. :(

Should be almost overkill on a 2.0 :p but now your inlet temps are sure to stay low no matter what you do :whistle:
My biggest issue was i decided to do a full send and reuse the stock pipes on a Monday night with everything closed if i needed parts. I did but made it thru.

welp... got in a wreck last week. the other party is accepting liability, and my stinger just might be totaled.

so i may be back in the market for another stinger even though I recently just bought one. I was slightly considering a G70, but the smaller back seat kind of puts me off it as well as the lack of external mods for the car. i had a lot of fun modding my other car before it got wrecked. at least this gives me an excuse to hop back into an AWD stinger.

R.I.P. ill never forget you : (

Upgraded to Swift springs. Wouldn't have thought a simple spring swap (same 8k spring rate) would make a substantial difference. Ride is noticeably smoother. Road feel is as good, if not improved a bit over rougher roads, because there is less harshness and jolting to distract driver's attention. I have an AutoX event coming up this Sunday. We'll see how these perform, compared to how the original springs did at last month's AutoX. Overall, highly recommended - just on ride/comfort alone - if you are running coilovers on their original springs. Swift makes springs in just about all the common coilover sizes. Metric Coilover Springs | Swift Springs USA

The 7" Swift springs are actually a bit lighter than the 6.3" Riaction springs and have more effective stroke. Plus, more linear rate throughout the travel range, as reported by those who have spring dyno'ed Swift springs.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Changed out my spark plugs today. Only took about 2 hours all in. I went crazy trying to find NGK plugs and got a set, only to find out the factory ones were the exact same NGKs. Should have just bought the Densos from the forum’s store. Oh well, I will do so at the next spark plug swap.

Anyhow, no intake manifold removal needed, and actually the passenger side turned out to be easier than the drivers side, because the boot on the #2 cylinder simply didn’t want to come out, and due to the space around it, I couldn’t get my fingers under it to pull like I could on all the others (even that #5 that everyone says is a bear came out easier than that #2.)

Even with only 27k miles, the new plugs have stopped a slight hiccup I was getting at cold idle (no check engine light though) and I swear the MBRP exhaust sounds a little smoother and cleaner. That blasted #2 plug had the washer stuck to the threads, so I’m not sure if it was tightened all the way in from factory. I gapped them to .025, since I know there’s no way I could be that accurate, so they’re probably sitting at .026-.027.

Got the Luxon rear underbars on today. They are flatter, the ultrawide lens makes the bars look curvier.

They claim to fit ‘18-21 MY only, but, as I figured they bolted right up to my ‘22 no problemo.

That bar bolts to subframe! It doesn't look that it brace anything. Just adds weight. 20240304_191155.jpg

What are these bars supposed to do?

Yeah, considering I installed them I know where they bolt to. The weight is negligible.
Unless I am missing something, even that negligible weight overweight the benefits, which I think is 0. The other bar probably does something though.

Similar in scope to Ultra Racing’s braces, they are supposed to provide stiffness and reduce body flex.

Yeah, I’d say you’re missing something.

Mind your business about someone else’s mods and try not shitting on them. If you don’t like it, move along without saying anything.

If you get upset about internet forum criticism, maybe don't post it than. It's open forum. Asking questions, even when they are not comfortable, is one of its purposes. And might stop other people from wasting the money. And your answer showed that even you don't know how this part is doing anything.

You came in hot calling the bars a waste of weight right off the rip. Your comment was less inquisitive and more condemning than you realize. And I saw your edit to your comment about 1 bar being helpful possibly and the other not, so don’t think that went unnoticed.

Perhaps if you want to lecture about open forums you realize that maybe there’s a time not to say anything. Or, say it in a way that’s not denigrating. A simple google search would have sufficed to get the info you desired.

People mod their cars for a variety of reasons, often with little concern for money. Been on car forums for half my life and seen wild mods that are questionable, but it’s extremely rare I post about it. I wanted something to tighten the rear end up, and I believe I got that. You wanted to do a rear seat delete and homemade bracing in your spare tire well; I don’t care for either of your mods but I didn’t crap over your posts in the Ultra Racing brace thread you chose to muck up.

Since you actually checked my posting history, you know, I am all for mods, if they actually work. I've done some shitty ones, that I have no problem to admit, and warn people against them. And I have absolutely no problem, if anyone desides to shit on them, as long as they have any valid points against it. My point against that bar is that it bolts to subframe. So it doesn't brace anything. It adds weight. And it costs money. Unless you want to talk about that, I am really not interested in going back and forth. If it does work, I'll be the next one installing it .Again, it's an open forum, not US university. You can't shut anyone up, if it hurts your feelings. Good luck.

Good luck to you dude.

Actually, since I don't have anything behind the front seats, except for the carpet, I'm brainstorming the idea of bracing b-pillars to driveshaft tunnel.:geek:
