What did you pay for your Kia Stinger?

2020 Indigo Special Edition, bought it August 2021 12 months after it was first titled. 7,500 miles. $37k. 2.9% from Carmax. Scored a killer deal in the midst of the most insane price hikes likely in any of our lives.
What a beaut! I've always wanted those wheels.

1 of 55 in America that color unless someone had one had one shipped intentionally. Also, 1 of 55 with my beautiful dark brown interior, and these rims.
You sure they only made 55 of them for the entire US?

Reason I ask is that before I bought my base gt new back in 2020 I drove about an hour away to look at an Indigo blue special edition. Not only did they have the one new one but they had another new one as well. So that dealership had 2 of the entire run of 55? Seems odd to me, especially since they're a smaller dealer.

Unfortunately for me, it was a wasted trip as they quoted me over the phone one price and I got there and they flipped the script.

I will say the brown isn't as bad in person as I'd imagined it was, although I think it needs a black steering wheel to break up all that brown. I wasn't a fan of the wheels either but both of those were basically non issues for me. I like my car but I still wish I was able to snag one of those indigo blue new. You get extras that the gt doesn't have most notably the sunroof, which I really wanted and the drift mode. Very nice, enjoy!

MSRP on mine was $53,150 but dealer discount of $3462 brought it down to $49,688 and I was able to get a military vet discount of $300

Dealer was pretty good. No over MSRP Stingers on their lot. They had a few Ascot Green AWD models where there was no dealer discount but they had two of the Micro Blue RWDs. Fort Worth Texas in July 2023.

I bought my 2014 K5 (Optima) SXL 2.0T in march of 18'. I test drove a Stinger that day, but I didn't want a $700+ monthly payment, so I decided to wait until more Stingers were in the used market and depreciation had its effect....

I waited.... and when the GTS was announced, I watched AutoTrader for over 3 years......

On Black Friday (11/24/23) I brought home my 2019 Kia Singer GTS AWD that has only 8,118 miles on it (one owner, one oil change).

Dealer was asking was $36,900 and after discount, trade-in and a lil' money down, I financed just under $20,000.

The Original window sticker was in the glove box (MSRP $47,940)

Well, you didn’t score as good of a deal as I did when you’re older, higher mileage, the orange might be for some people I prefer the dark blue. But at least you have D – AWD unlike the majority of the people in the country. Now you just need to get that horrid Kia emblem off the back and put an OEM “stinger” one.

TBH I struggled with the Orange for a long time; a color that "loud" is not my style. But I WANTED the GTS with the D-AWD. IMO Kia really F'ed up not offering a 2nd and 3rd color option in the GTS (black and maybe white?) if they wanted to sell more of them. But for me, as an enthusiast, I'm GLAD they didn't, and glad there are only 800 GTS's. Makes the car more rare and unique. After buying it an looking at it every day, I have grown to really like it.... and it already gets A LOT of attention...

The GTS package comes stock with the HORRID oval kia logo replaced with the stinger logo on the hatch. The new kia logo is Much better and i wouldn’t mind sporting that, but i really like it when ppl ask “Stinger… who makes that..?” and their reaction when I tell them “its just a Kia”, LOL.

Sorry, but scoring a blue Stinger doesn't make you special. And you can keep your advice about removing emblems, lol. If Stinger owners were that badge conscious, we'd of bought BMW's or Mercs. Sounds like you're embarrassed by yours.

Considering my Stinger is completely stock and I have not changed or removed any logos and it still doesn’t say KIA anywhere on the outside.. I can’t say I’m embarrassed. And I’m not special, the car is special. It’s an indigo special edition 1 of 500 produced worldwide, they’ve never made my exterior or interior color in the US. Based on the research I’ve done there were only 55 of the 500 sent to the states, however I haven’t confirmed that it was in fact only 55 from a KIA corporate managed website.

Nice choice on the rear stinger logo, it’s a lot of fun telling people it’s a Kia and watching their jaws hit the floor. Even more fun chewing up and spitting out cars that cost $30-40k more on the road.

I’d have to say my fondest memory thus far was getting pulled over after a cop followed me for about 3 miles and then lit me up when I was turning into my neighborhood. I asked what the issue was and he proceeded to tell me that my license plates were registered to a KIA, but I was driving a Maserati. I took about 30 seconds for me to catch my breath and stop laughing in his face. Then I offered him 3 options: to show him the manual in my glove box, Google it in front of him, or let him Google it. He asked me to wait and went back to his car.. Walked back up and handed my license and said he was very sorry and that his supervisor was not going to be happy with him. Poor guy, lol the best part was when I told him he would need to back up for me to re-trigger the gate to my neighborhood.

To answer your question, no, I am not certain about it only being 55. I know there were only 500 indigo’s made, but I haven’t found a KIA Corporate managed site that confirms that. Just dealer sites and word of mouth.

The real question here is not what did I pay for it. But how much do I have invested in it with all the mods. $$$

Mods are great but not an investment. Usually guys de-mod when they go to sell cuz they'll most likely get more from the dealer/seller if it appears stock. Then they try to sell the mods separately.

@Bamm1 gave me a great idea to help inform the community what people have paid for their Stinger. So, here it is! Please tell us what you paid, which package your opted for, and where you're located. :)
$28,835 for a 2020 GT1 (not including taxes/title/non-sense fees). It was the height of Covid nonsense. But this "sweetheart deal" was because the dealer f-up and tried to bully the financing to his finance division, claiming that they could not accept out of state money from my credit union. Luckily my banker knew of a Kia-financed lease-to-buy program, which provided a $10,000 incentive. I switched using my negotiated price and bagged the additional $10,000 incentive cash from Kia converting the Lease-to-buy within 5 days. Needless to say, that dealership is no longer in business. Not because of this one incident, but likely because that dealership was just bad.

i'm pretty sure all 500 was for the US market seeing as the package wasn't offered in other countries, the exterior color was just an option and the wheels are the option wheels for the 4 cylinder in some markets.. (my fav stinger wheels, don't really care for the standard gt wheels)
I was lucky to snag one new with 6 miles on the clock, and at that time almost every dealer had one.. there are about ~750 dealers (i think) in the US so 500 feels accurate considering how many i saw listed.

Just paid $34k for a 2023 GT-Line Apex Edition with only 5400 miles on it a couple weeks ago. Was lucky to get it, not many available at any of the dealers. Actually went to look at another one the day before and it got sold by the time I got there. The one I got just was posted and I ran down to see it. They literally just got it in on a trade and was still being prepped.

18 800$ for my 2018 82 000 miles stinger 2.0l premium with minor defects on rims and bodywork.

That is about how much we paid for our '23 GT-Line Apex too, September of last year. Same thing... they just got it on trade and had to rush to finish up prep the morning we drove up. The sales records from the original owner was still in the glove box when we took delivery. Judging by how much she paid vs, how much we bought it for, pretty sure she lost at least $10k on it, after having driven it for only 5 months or so. Why people would do that is beyond me, but I'm all too glad to benefit from those who are willing to take a huge hit on initial depreciation.

Oddly enough, ours wasn't the only one like that. At the time I was shopping, there were several 2023's that were almost brand new with various amounts of miles on the odometer, the lowest of which was only some 700 mile.
