Under drive Waterpump Pulley for Stinger GT's

Just sent them an email with pictures, and noted that I wasn't the only one having this problem. Will see if it gets anywhere.

The shark racing pulley only mentions aircraft aluminum while the torque solutions mentions “6061 T6 billet” I’m trying to get torque to send me one for test fitting
I don't see anything for stinger on their website. They have one for genesis 3.8 Is it the same?

I’ve noticed there’s a lot of aftermarket for the other Lamba equipped cars like the old Genesis coupes and it got me wondering if our engine share any parts.

So far the water pump pulley cross references with a lot of, if not all Lambdas including the NA 3.3 and 3.8 engines.

So my logic would suggest this and possibly many other Genesis Coupe parts might fit our cars…

Welp I’m back to stock. Good thing you can change this in under 10minutes.

Shark Racing replied “Could you have everyone that is having issues with this email us, if you could? I will get back to you after talking with the factory regarding this.”

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Got reply as well. Saying they would contact the factory about the issue, and get back to me.

Good luck getting resolutions on this, hope it works out. Apparently someone didn't perform stress analysis on this before manufacturing!

YUP! We are the guinea pigs! Also no other responses from them yet so I pinged Sam again.

Haven't heard anything either. Not that I expected much. So for now I can confidently say, using aluminum for pulleys, while sounds great, is just a bad idea. $200 lesson learned.

Welp heres what I got:

"You had purchased the pulley over 2 years ago, and 2 years is the maximum warranty period that I can find for any type of pulley on the market for any car.

And the manufacturer is also not willing to offer us the warranty for a product that we sold over 2 years ago.

So we won't be able to replace or refund it outright, but I am willing to sell you a new one for US$115 including shipping."

Well, at least you got a response. I didn't get anything. Anyway, looks like, it's still a bad idea to use aluminum for that pulley. So I wouldn't risk $115 for new one. Maybe I'll get spare factory pulley, and apply some drillium to it, if I have nothing else to do.

It doesn’t.

I got one and it’s physically bigger in diameter.

That’s disappointing and confusing. It shows compatibility for the OEM part across all the lambda engines.
