I used an add-a-fuse in a 10 amp switched fuse.

I did the same, but I don’t think the settings are being saved once the car is turned off. I’ll have to test it tomorrow on 100% to see.

This question has probably already been answered in this thread, but I read almost every single page and couldn’t find it. Does the ECS10 need constant power or accessory power? Also, what size fuse should be used?

It needs switched power.

It draws about 0.25 amps. So, the smallest fuse you can find.

My saved suspension settings stay saved and the suspension is in the same state when I start the car as when I shut it off.

It takes a while to connect. It says the suspension settings are saved, but it doesn’t feel like it. I just installed it yesterday, so tomorrow I’m going to set it at 100% to test.

I get in, start the car, and drive off.

While I *do* always switch to Sport mode, with the Mando connected only the drivetrain, steering, etc., are affected. The suspension stays under control of the Mando.

My soft and performance suspension settings are miles apart and very easily discernible.

If I shut the car off in performance it starts up in performance. Same for soft.

I don’t know if I’ve ever noticed a delay in the suspension changing to the last setting, but I tend to start the car while stationary, so…

That's just a user prefferemce, and makes no difference to the operation.



You only need to "connect" to the Mando when you want to apply a different suspension profile to the car.


It will absolutely keep the selected profile "selected" until you disable it or manually change it.

Once a profile is selected and applied - subsequent drive cycles, you just hop in and drive utilizing that previously selected profile.

Yes a 10 Amp. I used a piggyback. And no constant power. Just when the vehicle is running.. If you look back at my threads in this group, you will see pics and specific instructions on installation that were very useful for to me when I was doing my install.

Yep, I appreciate your help. Install was pretty easy after reading through the thread. I just need to get a smaller fuse and I think I'm good to go.

However, if I switch to Sport mode, the suspension stiffens - until now I thought that the Mando controls the suspension and it stays in a soft setting. Unfortunately, no. How is it with you?

What is your module status setting in the Mando SDS ECS10 App?

What you are describing is not how it functions - when enabled

When the ECS10 is enabled - the drive mode selector does NOT affect the suspension.

Where are you powering your ECS10 from? Which fuse?

When you connect to your ECS10, is the first screen you see, after connecting (or auto connecting) does it show that your last selected profile is still the currently applied profile?

In this video, after auto connection is complete, you can see the "Sport" profile is already applied. At 7 seconds into this video, you can see the Sport profile is highlighted, meaning it was already enabled prior to connecting phone to the ECS10.

IMPORTANT:
If you have to enable the "module status setting" - that means your ECS10 was disabled when you connected to it. (Shown at 21 seconds into this video).
If this is the case, you very likely have your ECS10 powered from a constant or incompatible power source.

The suspension is nicely controlled by Mando, you can feel the difference between the individual settings. The only problem is that when the car is in Sport mode, the suspension stiffens even though the Mando is set to Comfort.

Maybe you have a different firmware than I have.

Mine is firmware 1.0

I'm sorry and it makes me angry... This was pretty much the only reason I bought Mando. And I can't find a solution anywhere. The seller is very uncooperative and I couldn't find an answer in the forums. Mando does what he has to do, just not when I want him to. So that I have the Sport driving mode set in the car, but the suspension remains comfortable. it is a pity
