Lozic ECU + TCU + AWD Tune

So the wastegate actuator rod is set wrong from the factory? Maybe within 5% is acceptable for factory boost level.

But when bigger boosting comes into play the tolerances become tighter. Idk, just thinking.

How far off was yours? And I guess that -4% means that the gate is closed 4% more than it should be? Meaning more exhaust gases are passing over the turbine.

Basically, loosen the jam nut. Turn the cylinder to adjust as needed then lock the jam nut back down.

I'm curious where you got the tip to check this?
Mine was 3 one side and 4 for another. I happened to notice that my LOZIC runs lower boost than anyone. And it’s also super hard for me to add extra boost with JB4 when playing with map6. Also when I was tuned by SXTH, my boost is all over the place and almost impossible to dial. Then someone who’s also using BEF asked me to fix my wastegate and bingo. Both JB4 dialing boost and SXTH stage 2 is flawless now.

I'm having a boost problem too. I'm trying to get the correct ECU tune from SXTH but there is still a problem.
I checked my wastegate settings.
Wastegate position 1.3%
Wastegate position B2 3.1%
Does it need correction?

So your wastegates was set from the factory 3% and 4% more open than they was supposed to be. Damn shitty Kia quality control.

Good to know you got the issue resolved. I'll probably try to adjust mine. Like you said the passenger side looks pretty easy to access. But idk about the drivers side.

What is your current version of the tune? Tune name and version#? Would you like to DM me a log so I can confirm if you are experiencing one of the old issues I experienced.

This is after reseting battery with 93 + wmi. My logs used to be perfect and I've noticed they are horrible as of recent. What could be causing this? They sometimes are better when running e30, but previously without it they were fine.

The numbers are pretty high regardless but youd want to get a log at wide open throttle for better info/feedback as to whats going on.

Putting the log aside, it could be a bad batch of gas at that gas station. This could be the reason that e85 makes it look a little better. Some of the best stations get bad gas sometimes which sucks.

How about your plugs? How many miles are on your spark plugs?

Hi,
please help. Since I installed wimi bms it has recurring misfire and limp mode problem. I have lozic 1.5 bar, without methanol there are no errors.

Post log and meth setting plz. It can simply be meth triggers are set wrong.

Your meth seems to be working properly and trims are low enough to confirm that. Did you reset your ECU after installing the WMI? The current timing pull might just be the long term adaptive value before the WMI installed. However I couldn’t figure out why is your car misfiring. Do you have an actual CEL to confirm the misfire? If so check coil and plug. If not, you can swap back to stock ECU and run map3 with meth to see if you can duplicate the problem. If so, then it’s problem of your car. If not, then it’s tune related.

Maybe there is a leak in the system?. Every time this happens there is a noise, the methanol supply pipe vibrates. When my methanol level is low, it gets into trouble and I have to do a purge.

Hey guys,
Quick question, is there any benefits for HF primaries? Or should I just stay with the catless secondaries.

Hi
Thank you, how to check for leaks in the system. It has to be somewhere between the pump and the tank?

99% of meth systems that develop/have leaks are in the solenoids that act as a stop point for the methanol.

Autel reader should be able to log two wastegates. Just put your car in ACC and read two wastegate position vs their setpoint. Our car has wastegates off spec out of factory and that's actually why lots of people having over/underboost problem when they are trying to tune it.

What do you mean by "Autel reader"? A specific brand of code / diagnostic reader? Could Torque Pro (the phone app) do this?

non of the app has the actual PID figured for both sides of out turbo sadly. Most fancy iPad looking obd readers that shops have can do this job properly.

Hi,
I know what caused my problems after installing the wimi. In the workshop, they did not put on the injection nozzle, they lost the nozzle, I ordered another one.

Anyone running 1.5bar + jb4 stack? Interested in making a little more power. Or will this be head gasket territory? I've heard near 24+ is worrysome

Me and Pearly was working together to figure out how Map6 stack works for a year or what and here is what we learnt: 1.3/1.4 bar 91 tune can be the sweet spot for map6, 1.5 bar 93 tune is nightmare and you can never dial your boost curve correctly. Sadly that’s just how JB4 works as a piggyback and there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it.

For 1.3/1.4 bar 91 tune, it comes with a linear tapering boost curve, which makes it super easy to add boost to each rpm slot to generate a boost curve as flat as possible.

For 1.5 bar 93 tune, map6 is a shit show. The boost curve from the tune holds boost a little longer before the tapering, and the boost level it holds at already left you no room for extra boost, so you can only add boost to 5500 and 6000 rpm. But sadly that’s not how JB4 works, it will triggers the boost spike to go even higher after an upshift at the rpm range where boost is not added. Let’s say your map0 boost spike is 21.5 psi after shift, after adding boost to 5500 and 6000 rpm it might spikes up to 23psi, which is stupid and meaningless.

So if you’re going for CPI/WMI and want more high rpm boost from map6, a revision back to 1.3 bar 91 aki boost curve would be your best bet if you are staying with lozic.

Screenshot_20230731-135245.pngordering a new ECU from Lozic, now can please someone help me figure out what bar us the best for my car and what is boost ready?
My car
2018 Genesis G80 sport AWD 3.3tt
Lozic tcu -8% pressure+1
Jb4 with EWG wires
Intakes and Velossa tech snorkels
Catless secondaries and catback exhaust
Running on E30

I included a custom map6 log for reference
Thank you all
