EK1Pro Tune - Sixth Element

I currently have 2 files in my map folder the BIN file which is like 1k and the EKP file which is like 4.2MB. I haven't wrote the EKP file into my ECU yet until I hear back from Nathan because it's written for a different calibration ID than what I scanned from my ECU. I'm terrified of bricking my ECU.
Well its better to be safe than sorry for sure. I cant say I blame you at all.

The EKP file is the patch file. If Nathan said to use this patch for your ID, then I guess you trust it. You “write ECU data” with this file to patch (essentially unlocking it I guess) as a first step. I think at the last step of the patch process, it reads the OEM tune into a “bin” file in the maps folder.
While patching, be prepared for the car to act crazy, when I did mine the radiator fan came on full speed, warning messages started popping up in the cluster about check TPMS system, check blind spot system, check lane keep assist system, etc. Don’t panic, let it complete.

He just emailed me and confirmed to go ahead and complete the patch. I feel better about it. I'm at work now and going to try it on my lunch break. He also said my calibration ID will change.

Ok EKP patch uploaded and my car did wig out for 10 minutes but it went through and the car started right up. I now have a 3rd Calibration ID and waiting to hear back from SXTH on what tunes are available to me. I think they may have to make a custom tune as my calibration ID has "no tunes available" when i checked it against the SXTHNK site.

I think you have to update your profile on sxthnktuning.com with the new ID.
I will try mine in a few minutes.

Yeah I did that too and still no available files

CKKN3TMD_G1B
That was my ID before I patched, and it is still the same after. So they must be aware of that ID, maybe no one asked for a tune for it yet.

Hello all!

I don't get on here too often, but I saw some questions/concerns. We are working on getting all tunes uploaded for Stingers as our primary focus was on the N vehicles (these are just more popular, for every 1 Stinger tune we sell, we probably sell 10-12 N vehicle tunes).

If you see a message about no tunes being available just send a custom request!

For 3.3T vehicles with a lot of modifications, tuning gets a bit more complex. We are working to really dial in the Stage2 high power tunes for all situations.

So, what I did was based on this thread on the jb4tech forum..
I took the bin file that you get from reading the ECU data once patched, sent it to Terry, along with a photo of the EK1 screen showing my application ID (CKKN3TMD_G1B in my case), the VIN of the car, the serial number of the EK1 (I just send a photo of the back of the unit), the list of mods on my car and paypal $75 to him, and inside of 10 minutes, he sent back a an ekp file with a custom tune.
I flashed this to my car (only took about 3 minutes) and went for a ride. The timing is definitely more aggressive, I kept it on map 1, had some corrections so he suggested to just run map 0 (damn 91 California gas), should be at least the same as map 1 with the stock flash. I can maybe add a splash of E85 to perk up the octane a bit.
I did a run on map 7, but I am at altitude right now (about 4000 feet), need to wait to see how it does at the track.
Anyway, I will be toying around for a few days to get a feel for it, definitely woke it up a bit.
