Has anyone seen any Stingers in the wild?

I followed the first one from 7200 South on State Street to 7720 South, where we both turned right (heading west). This is the closest together that I have ever seen two Stingers: both White Pearl and both four cylinder engines, the first pre-refresh 2.0L and the second a GT-Line: I also have never seen two four cylinder engine Stingers on the same day much less at the same time. Literally, for a couple of seconds, there were three Stingers all closer to each other than to anyone else: the 2.0L in front of me was in the attitude of signaling a left turn, when the GT-Line passed it and me going eastbound in the opposite direction in the left turn lane: this was on 7720 South (Midvale). (I had to signal and U-turn myself, when I saw that 7720 was shut off near the TRAX lines.)

Today was my 60K miles service; I went from there to 12300 South to the Jordan River Trail parking lot. There was a Ceramic Silver GT-Line. I thought, cool, I'll get my walking sticks and hat out of the hatch, take a pic of the Stinger, then walk over closer and get another one with mine in the background. But the driver was already in their car (couldn't see them for the tint) and drove off behind me. I snagged my camera from my shirt pocket and barely captured the scumbag. Hah.

Some people just don’t get it.

This evening as I moved northbound through the intersection of the Bungler Hwy and 9800 South, I saw a Stinger in the westbound left turn lane of 9800 South, and it was a steel grey satin wrap (which is why I mention the sighting at all, since I don't normally post without pics anymore). It looked really good!

Oddly enough, just did a real quick store run. Saw two different stingers in less than a minute. One pre facelift panthera and a pre facelift snow white pearl. I did get to chat with the guy who owned the snow white pearl briefly.

Wouldn't it make it more unusual to see? Still see them rarely. I see about 1-2 of em per month if that.
I think it may just be where we both live. I see at least one stinger a day here in Dallas. Usually see two a day.

For me it seems to be in spurts. I live in a more rural area in California, will go weeks without seeing one, but a couple times I saw three in one day.
I guess when the moon and stars align or in a sunspot cycle, who knows.

Didn't get a single picture over the long weekend as they were all on the other side of the interstate really.. not a single one on my side :( ... trip from nashville tn to asheville nc then to charleston sc and back and saw around 12-14 stingers on the trip!! over 1200 miles of flawless driving experience! Normally around where i live i usually see at least one everytime i go out... i know for sure there are 2 or 3 different ones that live in/visit my neighborhood area.

Saw, I think, the same white GT (? not sure) twice today. First, about 1:30 when we were facing each other across an intersection while stopped at the light on Whittier Blvd. in West Whittier. I flashed the headlights, but no response. [I give up. I'm not even gonna try any more. No one responds. Or makes first contact.] Then a couple of hours later on our return trips, less than a mile east of the same spot as our first encounter, there—she?—was again, heading back.

@eljay Get a motorcycle, most mcy folks respond to one another.
Not EVER gonna happen, hahaha! Senior citizen with a bad back. Believe me, nobody wants me out there on less than four wheels.

^^Get a trike then. No worries about balancing. Also they have automatic manuals that don't even require shifting.

Still not going to happen. My allergies need air conditioning and helmets destroy my hairdo. I've had over 70 years to think about this and am not changing now! :D But thanks for caring enough to get me out of my (satisfied) rut.
