Very loud suspension noise, Front Right- Tried everything that I can think of...

@I'm Tony Danza - Did you ever get this figured out?
Never did. I used the Chassis Ears on around 60 points throughout the suspension, drivetrain, brakes, subframe, mounts....you name it. Comparing both sides of the car at the same time. Nothing ever jumped out as being obvious. I could have easily missed something, but hit all the major spots. I may try again after winter.

It's a true shame our dealers aren't up to snuff. It crossed my mind to give a $500 cash bonus to their best tech if they could find the problem, but even with that, the car could be there forever (we have two kids and need it) and I don't have enough trust that something else won't be broken in the troubleshooting.

Try taking the round tool insert out of the spare tire in the trunk.

Did you take it to a tire shop to check and see if the tpm didn't break off inside the wheel I heard that noise before on a camero and it was a broken tpms rolling around inside the wheel

It's from the front end, unfortunately. Not a bad idea for those who have a noise from the trunk area.

Yeah, just did a tire rotation and the noise is there even with my OEM 18" wheel/tire setup, albeit a tad more quiet. Wish that was the case!

Well, my hearing may not be the best.. but the sound I had seemed to come from the front suspension but turned out to be a combination of the trunk floor and spare tire/tools insert.

Any updates regarding this? Have you replaced the control arm bushings? I have a similar problem - replaced both front strut assemblies, next are the control arms

Still haven't found the problem. Do you have suspension mods or stock? AWD or RWD?

rehearing this again now, I'm wondering if there are any missing chassis plugs on that corner of the car, giving normal tire noises an entrance to reverberate into the cabin. have you by chance checked that all the plugs are in place on that passenger side fuse box area under the hood? or perhaps one inside the wheel well, might have to pull off the inner fender liner to check.

of note, check the cabin air filter behind the glove box to make sure that flap's fully closed. that is a direct opening to the area i'm talking about.

Wow, that must be driving you nuts! I know that would drive crazy. Here’s a flyer of an idea. I believe the ECU is behind the right front wheel liner….could it be loose?
