What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

So how much past the first "clunk" of the automatic shut-off is safe? My previous GTI was capable of a full 1.5 gallons past that because of the design of the neck, haven't really tried to push the Stinger very far that way.
Unless the first "clunk" is obviously premature, I stop filling then. Costco has a sign up saying don't top off anyway. :D

Installed the BMS Diff Brace today, as well as got my front underglow wired up properly to be turned on/off with the cars auto light sensor.

wiring the front light was WAY easier than the rear as all you need to do is tap into the correct wire in the headlight harness, so you can use the CK71 instructions as a reference to which wire to tap, No relay needed. However because you can skip the relay, the front underglow turns off with the lights when you set the lights to DRL only mode, unlike the rear/side lights. I can do an install tutorial/write up on this if anyone wants me to as the rear lights require a relay to be set up correctly.

As for the BMS Diff Brace, It certainly does what BMS claims. After the install, I let the car warm up and then did a 0-60ish pull while letting the rear tires break free using LC. The tires will still spin as they should when they break traction on launch, however instead of spinning until 30-40ish MPH, The tires where already gripping again within 10mph of releasing, maybe even sooner as it was so quick to grip it was hard to tell. Now on the drag strip I doubt it will help at all as my car was not spinning the tires there anyway, but for street pulls, it will 100% help. As a bonus, I noticed that on my drive to work this morning their was a noticeably less amount of vibration going through the center of the car. I have the Korean center console and before, it would squeak ever so slightly going over bumps or when the car is at the right angle because of the slight extra vibration my aftermarket exhaust causes. On my way to work this morning, not a single squeak was heard. Now this is only my first day having it on the car so it could have been a fluke, but still.

@Michael Hespe I honestly believe that for you it will help reduce spinning dramatically if not eliminate it completely when you do your roll racing. Worth the Cost for sure.
It should be here in the next day or two! Thank you!

…JB4 Tuned…

Over the weekend I installed HKS M45iL spark plugs (gapped .022), the JB4 w/ Bluetooth & PNP Fuel Wire Adapters, and the NGI Vanity Covers. Overall, everything went fine and smooth. It took a little longer than expected, mostly because of the distractions from my little girls, but that is normal. The spark plugs were not nearly as bad as I thought they’d be, and like everyone else has stated in the past, swivels are your friend. My tip, again with others, magnetic sockets…easy peasy. The app makes reading/adjusting super simple and has not given me any trouble.

So far, I have only run Map 1, to see how she did and to record logs. I did a few quick runs and sent the logs to Terry, and he said everything looks great and gave me the green light for Map 2. So far so good, and she is super smooth. The Stinger has always been a blast to drive, but even in Map 1, it wakes it up a bit more and makes it that much more fun. Love this car!

Big shoutout to Terry at BMS. He is really nice and super responsive through emails. He’s been a big help with the logs and the whole process.

In the coming weeks, I will be installing the EWG Add On Connectors to help with the over boost issues I’ve had in the colder months.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Installed BMS intake.

My best run at the track last week was 12.366 @ 113mph in the 1/4 mile. That was with stock intake and K&N panels. Next week if I make it back to the track I can see what improvement the new intake makes since I don’t have any other mods planned before then.

got ceramic tint from laketown speed and sound a couple months ago. has helped with the hot hot utah heat.

Thanks to some great coaching from @AWDGT2 I was able to break my previous best 1/4 of 12.004 last night and got down to a 11.902! I can take a picture of the slip if anyone wants to see but the 60 foot is still really bad. I think I am at the limit of my Stage 1 Tork TCU tune now, I may be able to get down to an 11.8, but any more than that and I will have to either do the brake snip mod or get a TCU tune that has the factory Torque Limits disabled.

Decided to not finish out the season before getting an alignment: this necessitated changing wheels because my RR TSW is slightly bent, but enough to make an alignment impossible. So, this morning, I had my OEM wheels (and A/S UHP tires) put back on. Of course I wanted to compare extra legal on these with what I've been putting up with all summer, which is a low grade vibration in the floor. On the OEM setup I pushed up to c. 107 MPH and it was buttery smooth.

Washed, claybar'd, polished, and graphene/ceramic sealed ... pulled out of garage ... and it started raining. FML

also put in Tuxmats, and some stickerz (+25hp)

... and it started raining.
You did the "rain dance", not because of the washing, but because the rain bugged you. :D I noticed a dramatic reduction in association with rain and car washes when I decided I actually enjoy washing my car. The singular event that broke the rain dance was my looking up at the sky each time it started to rain and saying aloud, "Go ahead, I don't care, I'll just wash my car each time it rains": and this, over a period of nine days, produced six car washes, some of them twice in one day. Hah, and HAH! I still wash my car each time it gets rained on, but that was some kind of record number of washes in a given amount of time.

Car's not due for another wash for at least 2-3 weeks. I did wash the glass today. Does that count?

Keep at it. Bending and crouching is good exercise. If you're not a cripple, it will sort you out if you persevere with the exercise. You get a clean gorgeous car (for a little while) and your body will benefit, win, win.

i get enough exercise - weight machines in my gameroom, just replaced a bathroom exhaust fan (crawling around in the attic, multiple trips because forgot tools) ... beer time! :p
