What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Looks good, you can now finish it of with a red cf look engine cover.

Reading my mind bro. Definitely will be adding this. Thanks for the reference.

if its gonna be hydro dipped, might as well get the same nice red instead of the crap "carbon style"
I agree so I might just paint it to make sure colors match

Got an oil change and inspection at c. 54K miles: all looks good, c. 8mm brakes, 7mm tread in front, 5mm tread in back. (Lol, the first brake pad measurement was 9-10mm, which, if true, would be adding material as I go :D: they were more careful the second measurement when I brought that up, hah.)

I've increased the miles between oil changes, from 4K to 6K, since Kia went all synthetic (Mobil all synthetic), and so, if everything behaves, I won't see them again until I turn 60K miles: which is my next maintenance schedule milestone (aka "an expensive one").

By the way, Kia changed their oil change plan: used to be three oil changes for c. $90, iirc; now it's two oil changes for $120; the synthetic bumped the cost. If you don't get the plan, each oil change is c. $90 now.

Interesting. When I went to get my first oil change about 2 weeks ago (wasn't free since I went to a different dealer) they only charged me $69.01 and they used synthetic.

Maybe they cut you a deal to attract your business? Maybe they didn't get the memo? Maybe oil changes for them are a loss leader?

Honestly I was very surprised since I'm pretty sure the very rare times when I went to quick lube type places with my previous car it cost about the same price for synthetic, and it used quite a bit less oil during a change. For now, I'm racking it up to a "first visit discount" even though it didn't show anything of the sort on the bill.

Didn't do anything yet besides unwrapping it. Bought a used 2022 light bar to swap into my 2020. I'll be switching over to the Korean spec sequential turn signals. They cost a fortune so I figured I'd try to save money where I could so I bought a used unit instead of the 400-500 a new one costs.

I actually plan on installing it before I get the sequential turn signals so it'll be miss matched for a bit. I don't feel that this is 100x better than the old set up but it fixes one of my main nitpicks that I have with the 2018-2021 tails. That stupid middle piece that looks like a 3rd brake light but does nothing. Never was a fan of that design choice. Most people hate the reflector strip on the side or the fake vents on the hood, nope that middle piece was always head scratching to me.

I like the top pic, need to see more angles though.
I like how it looks through the rear view mirror. No pics of that though. Lol

I have the m&s type g which is not very big but still takes up a bit of the rear view, I'd imagine yours blocks quite a bit of the view out the back. Looks good though.

Hows the hunter fan? I hear they are pretty good

Hahaha, not sure if serious but idk yet. Like the tail light, it's not installed yet. It can't be worse than the ugly 1970s lookin fan we got now in the living room. The Hunter fan matches our decorum better, plus it has a light

I only ask because I was looking at the same fan in Home depot? Lowes? one of those two last week. Let me know how you like it when you get it setup
