Lozic ECU + TCU + AWD Tune

Hey all!

reading in this forum for a while but this is my 1st post.

@those who got the Lozic TCU + JB4:
Does it make sense to play with the „auto shift boost redux“?

Asking because of the harsh drop left of middle (see pic)
Or maybe its just a pothole

Thx all
Marian from germany

I won’t be much help on advice.. but I just looked at my best 0-60 when I have the JB4 and TCU only. And also looked at the best 0-60 that I had with the ECU and TCU. They are both very similar to your drop off at the same speeds etc. Hopefully so people can help.

Also…just for fun I went poking around on the draggy leaderboard. All stingers have that same drop off that you are seeing. Some just a little more severe than others. To me it looks like it’s at about 30-35mph when it’s happening. Even the fastest stingers out there have the same drop.

I've read about 2/3 of this thread, and have a question before I pull the trigger. Is it still considered mandatory to log runs after installing ecu if I install something more on the conservative side? Say a 1.3 on 91 octane? Not that I'm opposed to logging, just don't want to invest in jb4 just to log. Is there a more economical logging option that anyone can recommend? Appreciate the help.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Definitely not mandatory to log, but it sure is nice to know what's going on in there. 1.3 bar is still almost 19 pounds of boost, which is very aggressive for 91 octane. Timing will be retarded almost guaranteed unless you improve your octane somehow.

It's not mandatory. However, if you have a problem or aren't sure what's going on, you and tuner are going to be flying blind. It really doesn't make much sense imo.

Makes sense. If anyone has a recommendation on a logging solution let me know. Thanks!

Makes sense, thanks. Any recommendations of logging hardware?
I believe there may be a couple options out there but I don't think any offer data that is as in depth as the JB4. I was asking the same question as you when I got my car so I totally get it but like someone told me.. this isn't a cheap car, why are you trying to skimp on mods that will help you keep a close eye on the safety and longevity of your vehicle. If it takes you a little longer to save for the Lozic ECU after getting the JB4, so be it in my opinion.

Also, JB4 will still allow you to increase the power on your car and have fun in the meantime so seems like a win/win to me.

Also wanted to add, that the JB4 can help smooth out/adjust a tune, run WMI or CPI if you decide to go that route, and if you decide to do a full exhaust system can help remedy overboost issues that tend to happen. You really do get a lot for your money with the JB4 platform other than just logging.

Cant sat on logging.. jb4 is the only best one I know for all the details.

But for just your traditional logging, boost levels/temp/afr and all.. you're good with just an OBD unit with Bluetooth application.

Not mandatory. If you go for a 1.3 bar 91 tune and using 93/94 oct all the time then you’ll be totally fine with no doubt. If you are limited to 91 oct only then I suggest you to pull some log to see how much timing correction you have.

I had a sputtering issue when doing a pull, Lozic told me to change plugs and packs. When I pulled the plugs, the packs seemed to all be in good condition so I just replaced the plugs. The tune ran great and my boost was doing about 22ish psi with no issues.

I sent Lozic some logs and he said there was a little bit of retard at 4500rpms but he said that it’s fine and the car would adjust.

Just yesterday the car started sputtering again and today it’s sputtering like it used to before I changed out my plugs. I’m about to pull my plugs out again to see if they look okay, but I’m a little concerned at this point that the sputtering is back. My buddy said it could be a boost leak or there could be an issue with the tune. Has anyone else had this issue with the car sputtering during a pull after changing plugs?

1.5 bar 93 gas, bms fmic, K&N CAI, bms occ.

Had exactly same thing changed spark plugs several times. Then gave in an ordered coil packs. Tried changing one by one and didn't full remove all sputtering until last pack was changed out. I bought them from AutoZone all 6. No problems with sputtering since changed at 45k miles.

Oh gotcha. Aight, I guess I’ll fold and order some coil packs. Thanks!

Did you try your stock ECU again and see if the sputtering still occurs?
