I do updates every time they are available. Never skipped a version. The last version showed the station on radio tubes with your presets along the bottom. This version show a big XM in the middle of the screen with the presets along the left side which you have to scroll through. To set a preset in the prior version, you pressed the star while on that station. Not sure how to do it on the new version.
When leaving the vehicle after shutting off - the audio now fades out gracefully instead of instant cut.
I am pretty sure before this update- there was no half second fade down of the volume when shutting off (maybe it always did this?)

Not sure if any were permanently bricked, but there have been reports of corruption during update. I don't know how resilient the low level recovery is on these devices. That is, will at some point a botched update brick the HU....? Feeling adventurous... go for it.
I updated no problem, took a little over 20 minutes.
- Had to manually do it instead of it prompting.
- Noticed the fade out, I like it.
- The new radio interface is pretty boring and doesn't show as many presets. You add them by clicking "add station" and remove them by going to station list.
- Dark mode was included in nov 2021 update, not sure why they advertised it again?
- Valet mode still not showing up.
- Engineering mode still works, didnt look for changes there.
- I got an email from "KIA Connect" thanking me for my new vehicle purchase (I've been driving it and using UVO since Jan `21)

Call Kia Connect...I had same isse back when Valet Mode First Introduced.
Phone: 1-877-542-2886
Hours: 8:30 AM - 6:30 PM EST M-F
You will need to be in car. And They will Ping your Vehicle and send a reset to Unit.
No worries about S/W changes happening. Once the unit restarts you find the Valet Mode.
In All Menus...
PS....I got the same email to register. Just go resign in to your original UVO/ Kia Connect Account.
I ended up having to change my Password..But all works fine!
Like others I always update when one is available. I updated my 2022 in January. This is the first update I wish I had not done. It's not just that I liked the look of the previous version-- I no longer have the weather forecast that was in the previous version. Now there is note to call customer service . . .
My real problem is that the car is from Canada and I live in the US. Kia Connect in the USA will not accept my VIN, so can't sign up (I still have an account for my 2019 GT2)-- Canada won't accept my address in the USA or the fact that car is registed in the US.
I don't think I'm missing much not having a Kia Connect account . . . but I do miss the weather I hast week.
Don’t know if anyone with the 10.25 inch screen is having the same issue but when using Apple CarPlay, I lost the ability to display a map (Apple or Google map) in full screen. Now the arrow on the right corner just cycles thru whichever display options you have checked marked from the available selections. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Seems correct...(Canadian)-
I previously downloaded and installed but it was only an audio update, I found that the Navigation did not change.
Now I see no listing for Stinger 2019
Seems to be a common theme for the last few releases, put them out then when issues crop up, it gets pulled.
I already wrote a new SD card but haven’t installed it in the car.
Maybe I will wait now.
I think you might be up to something here... Although, I have already installed the update (mentioned an issue I am having above), now I go and the update is no longer available. This will be the last time I will jump the gun and try to update until all bugs, if any, are taken care of.
