2022 (US) sequential tail lights retrofit?

Maybe. . but afaik the 2022 gt2s all got the non sequential leds .. maybe it was due to chip shortage? Lol

They are, but it seems as if they changed IC to LED at one point. They could redo the KDM sequentials to be US DOT legal (by changing the pattern so they start with more lit surface area like the Audi's do), but they decided not to. Maybe they will do that in 23 (if there even is one).

LOL, I don't ask. But I really like them. Every once in a while someone else is driving my car and I get to see them.

My GF occasionally reminds me that she has never driven it, not once ever. She test drove a different one with me, but not the one I bought. Sooner or later she will have to drive it. I have had it almost 9 months.

Did you get an issue with the car thinking the turn indicators were out? Mine does not like the new tail lights.



They light up just fine.

Nope. No issues here either. They do make little Devices’s that get rid of them when you replace an incandescent with an LED. They fool the system into thinking there is more resistance than the LED provides.

You will probably need a couple I suspect. I’m assuming the issue is that your car doesn’t think it should have LED’s in rear turn siginals. You will need them for every light that has the issue. You just wire them into the circuit.

Yes it did. Well, checking the sticker, it shows LED taillights, not turn signals.

Man, I want these, but nearly $800....whew, I have I tough time seeing any value here. Anyone find a cheaper price on these? Even $600-650 would take the edge off the pain on these and I would jump on them.

Where are you seeing em for $800? That's cheaper than I've found them. Usually they're over $1,000 for the whole set, the turn signals and the middle light bar.

Ah, that makes more sense. It's downright crazy what the turn signals cost for this car. I originally looked at getting a pair of these,

18-21 Korean spec led turn signals. Those are what should be on the car, even those are still 600-700 bucks and they are nice and all but not as nice as the sequential ones.

Left the battery unplugged for a couple hours on Thursday but still no love. Have a call in to the service department to see if there is a setting that can be changed. The hyperflash issue is really annoying.

It’s a common problem when going from incandescent to led. Not enough resistance and the hyper flash determines the bulb is out.

Just need to install these… LED Resistor Kit (pair)

After installing LED taillights on my truck, the resistance threshold was right at the edge of causing hyper flash and only started to occur once the weather got cold.
