What is Your favorite Wheel?

Also posted in "wheel/size/offset can be confusing thread" - reposting here for widest viewing. My apologies if this offends anyone.

Going through this again.. Looking for a set of track wheels. I have some Enkei TY5s 18x8.5 up front, 18x9.5 rear, both ET35, running 245/285 and those fit just fine. Those TY5s are backordered for months, so I can't really mix-and-match like I was hoping. And a real "racing" wheel like the Rpf1 isn't much more anyway.
So - I was looking at maybe 18x9, ET35 all around, that way I could go square in 245, or staggered 245/275 later, if necessary. Would 18x9.5 also fit all around with ET35? Or ET25? Running 245s or 255s? STOCK springs, Mando + swaybars. May do springs at some point, but would probably do Ark GT-F (the least lowering).
I know my 285s won't fit up front, so I can't do a "test fit" of my 18x9.5 ET35, but I've heard the OEM 255s fit with a 5mm spacer, so if I go ET30/25, is that enough of a move outwards to avoid a problem? I'm initially going with a square setup to be able to rotate tires, but would love the widest wheels possible for the most flexibility with going back to a staggered setup in the future, but still be pretty confident of the fit. I don't really care about looks / poke / etc - these would just be doing on for the weekend to drive to the track / run at the track, drive home, then come off (or maybe install at the track in some cases). Looking at RS4s or Conti Force tires for now.

question, i love the wheels that came with my 2022 gt1, i dont really want to put aftermarket wheels on the stinger; have had too many issues doing aftermarket in the past. has anyone ever blacked out the factory ones, if that makes sense.
what would that look like, is it possible.

Give a stroll thru "what did you do today" thread. Lots of members have. They look good. Long thread but eventually you'll come across a pic

They look great. After winter I plan to powdercoat mine.

Old style GT wheel, powder coated gloss black. They get put back on tomorrow, for winter. :D

oh baby that is a sweet stinger!
so what is that called, powder coat then gloss black finish?, like, what would i ask for at the wheel place to make them look like that?
its hard to tell, but did you leave some silver slivers in there or is that the reflection?

I actually got mine painted in glass black and the only silver is the KIA badge and the nuts

blue?... I'm colorblind, i thought it was the panthera metal until i saw his sig lol
Indeed. These subtle Kia colors mess with the light, or vice versa: Panthera Metal, Indigo/Deep Chroma Blue and now Ascot Green, all take on incredibly variable appearances in pictures. But that pair of pics above is the biggest contrast I've seen so far from the same color.

Hi guys, need some help please. Dealer is supplying a set of aftermarket wheels of my choice for me (long story), but have to keep prices within reason (under $500 ea.). Car is a 2022 GT Elite with 19" wheels, and I want to stay at 19" so I can use the rubber I have. The difficulty I'm having is trying to find direct fit with proper bore size and offsets as that seems to be highly suggested here. Also proving to be a challenge is finding the colour I want. I'd love some chrome but there's no durability/longevity with chrome, so a polished aluminum, or machined finish seems to be the next logical choice. If you guys can help point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

First off $500 gives you great options and my first though was to Forgestar F14s. They will give you custom offsets and amazing finish choices.
@GetYourWheels is a vendor here that is very responsive and I think they can do custom finishes beyond what Forgestar already does.
That would be my go to.

I think his budget is $500 CDN since he is in Canada. I was looking at F14s but I was getting quotes for around $2400-2600 for a set

check out Vossen wheels. tons of great choices, starting at $599/wheel, but that's MSRP and you should be able to get a set at 2k or less. Hybrid forged, I went with 19 x 8.5 front and 19 x 9.5 rear and kept the OEM tires slightly more stretch but looked fine until they wore out. You can email Vossen directly as well and they will give you a quote, and help with offset. Not sure if they can ship to Canada or if they have local dealers etc. but worth a look. Oh, saved 7 lbs per wheel up front and 8 lbs per wheel in the back despite going with wider than OEM.IMG_0784.jpgIMG_0785.jpg

Need some daytime pics...will post those soon. Also have Eibach Springs I have not installed yet. Debating it as I don't want to rub on driveways and speed bumps.

I have a staggered setup:

Front: NICHE® - M224 GAMMA Gloss Black (20" x 9", 5x114.3 Bolt Pattern, 72.56mm Hub), NITTO® 202920 - INVO (245/35R20 W)
Rear: NICHE® - M224 GAMMA Gloss Black (20" x 10.5", 5x114.3 Bolt Pattern, 72.56mm Hub), NITTO® 203570 - INVO (275/30ZR20 W)
