• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Did my valve clean with a can of CRC Intake Valve Cleaner. I used the dipstick hole in the top of the can to inject the spray. You could feel the vacuum with the engine running and the dipstick out as well as the change in RPM. Didn't notice any white smoke coming out when I did it. Definitely something i will do every oil change.

Where did you spray it in from ?
I forget to mention that crc replied to me, that for our car specifically, maybe it's good idea to spray 5-10 times per side (intake) as per the usual 2 sec. intervals, but just go back and forth until can is finished, so you get spray thru both turbos and maybe one side gets it thru better ??
But going thru all those pipes and past the turbos, I can only assume, not much is getting to where it needs to go ??
I wonder if it's o.k. and safe to spray the crc thru the line I did mine on ? I'll ask them for a reply on this. I assume it would be, right ? Why wouldn't it be and it'll be closer and more will get to the valves.
Man, I really wish I could have removed the upper intake manifold to see the valves again after the long drive home. It's bugging me, if it would have cleaned out more ?

I also forgot to look for smoke when I did mine, but Tyler was in car with door open revving it while it was going thru and he said he could smell it coming out the back, but didn't think to look either.

Where did you spray it? I was going to do this. The video I saw on YouTube has it sprayed on the left side (passenger side) intake. Where would "both sides" be?

Hey Stingers,

I have a youtube and rumble channel doing car reviews and recently Drag Racing videos with my Stinger !
Looking for Stingers that want to get out to the drag strip for 1/4 mile runs and some smaller track runs.

Reach out to me so we can connect and get runs in with each other and against others.
Stock and tuned up, lets Race Baby ! And Ask any of your friends with Stangs, or Camaro's, Porsches, etc.. etc... to connect.

Shannonville has Aug. 2, mix and match, so you can do both small track runs and 1/4 mile runs ! they're not as busy as TMP, so you'll get in many runs in.
Other dates as well. And other dates Here, at TMP and St. Thomas as well.

Here's a race against a Supra !

Toyota Supra Vs. Kia Stinger GT 1/4 Mile - 2 Races

just past both air boxes into the tubes, and just past mass air flow sensors or any sensors, if any in that area

I believe our car has MAP not MAF sensors so we are okay

My ADD W1 V3 catch can has a dipstick on top. All I do was unscrew it and remove and sprayed onto the hole. The suction took it into the intake manifold as well as the air intake feeding the driver side Turbo.

I guess we could disconnect the blow of valve hoses going to the air intake and inject into there on both sides since the air boxes feed the turbos.

crc does promote spraying so turbos get cleaned... but I suspect less spray will make it to the intakes after passing by the turbo blades.. I believe this will work less effectively if done this way for turbos... Bette the way you did it. Mostly do it this way and once in a while the other way to clean the turbos

i'm pretty sure they are talking about the turbo on the exhaust side ... i doubt the intake side of the turbo needs this kind of cleaning
