Lozic ECU + TCU + AWD Tune

I just put the stock ECU in with just the Lozic TCU and did a quick map 7 75additive brake snip pull. looking at the trims it looks I didn't get the fuel wires connected properly lol. wanted to give some info on shift points of my TCU. I have stock shift pressure, -8% shift reduction and torque limit ON. it was supposed to be torque off and Lozic has shipped out a new TCU for me immediately to swap out so I'm waiting for that.
How does it feel compared to running without tcu?

Probably not any different, has stock shift pressure and torque limits On.

To add to the discussion on Lozic's ECU/TCU/AWD tune...

I recently took a 1300 mile road trip in my G70 that has his 1.5 93 octane tune and level 3 TCU tune. I'm still waiting to receive the AWD tune, as it's in transit. 800+ miles of this trip was on two lane twisty roads, which is how I enjoy driving the car the most. I'm not a drag racer or street racer, but I love a great handling/fast car. For the kind of driving I was doing, I was not happy with the setup as is. I think it could be better, and I do plan to send the ECU back to him for some adjustments. My issue is, as I've shown him via a few logs, my "boost" is like an ON/OFF switch. It's either almost nothing, or 20lbs, and no in-between, with the smallest of throttle inputs. This isn't good in a 25MPH switch back curve, applying a little throttle to power out, and BAM 20lbs of boost! If not for traction control, my car would be in a ditch right now. If it can't get better than it is, I'll go back to stock, or just use a JB4.

Thats strange my 1.5 reacted that way also after initial installation but only for the 1st 30 40 miles.. Definitely more throttle sensitive even remove my pedal tuner .what mods you have? Do you have JB4 connected if so disconnect that and give it a try for a few miles See if you have the same result.

wondering if there is any point to the awd tune?

Good explanation, and I agree.

Also, did you pick up some poop on your grill?

HAhahahaha!
It's a leaf, that totally ruined the picture!
That's actually from last year. This year I drove across WV, into VA, NC, TN, and KY. US 421 in VA is the best road I've driven hands down, better than the Dragon. For some reason I can't get Imgur to load pictures.....

From the videos it seems to help reduce the rear wheels spinning during launch control before taking off. I feel like the tcu is the main puzzle piece and would help me a bunch with launching harder and shifting quicker even with my stock ecu.

So I'm assuming with the torque limit off it essentially is like a brake snip?

I'm not sure my awd tune just came in two days ago. I'm not sure how I feel about it. The rear wheels break loose allt easier as it's suppose to. But when it does the transfer to the 50/50 I can hear a loud thud in either the transmission or front diff. Sounds like it's going to break something so I didn't actually try it again yet.

Correct, but it also firmer and speeds up shifting, as well as changes the shift points to a lower RPM to keep in the sweet spot of the powerband. I ran just ECU, then added the TCU, and it made a significant difference 0-60 and quarter mile times.

I'm thinking with all the little quirks with the lozic ecu maybe I just keep my JB4 and add this.. I would think all my times would improve?

I'm like you, he originally sent me something that made my car feel like RWD. 20MPH kick down full throttle would light the back tires up for 50 feet. If the one that's coming in the mail now feels like what you described, I'll return both for a refund.

Unless you’re running Walmart special discount tires, you’ll be faster.

yeah its feels the same as running with stock TCU, I was just showing how the -8% reduction shifts pretty much right at 6000rpm and held the boost levels very nicely. I like how the car shifts in sport mode, I just wanted it to auto shift at 6k, have built in brake snip boost levels without having to flip a switch. tried factory launch and only built 3.8lbs of boost with torque limit ON, might not be the same for others

If you time the video with stock ecu and lozic tcu from 0-100km it’s in the low 4s. I’d be happy with that for a little while lol.

I agree it goes all or nothing. If you still have your jb4 you can run map6 add target boost 0. And if you want disable everything else. And turn FF adaption down from 50 it will slow your spool speed down and act more like stock if you want.
Do I need EWG wire stuff to do this? I do still have my JB4. Also, someone mentioned about a setting in the JB4 if running aftermarket ECU, but I've not made any setting changes to the ECU since install. Running MAP 0 just to log.

I'm 4.47 best I can muster so I figure maybe 4.10? I think with all the quirks I will do the tcu and let the ecu get all ironed out
