What i can say is two car carriers pulled into Port Kembla tonight one from the US and the other i believe came from Japan. I have an app forwarded to me by a car manufacturer.

PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Don't go getting these guys all excited over nothing Oz. That just wouldn't be fair. I remember all those years ago waiting patiently for 4 months for my Stinger.

Dropped in to the KIA dealer near Harris Park today, to remind myself what my Stinger looks like up close.
Their showroom was packed to the gills with cars (no stingers), with "Not for sale" signs all over them.
Looks like they have received a truck or three load of new cars for delivery, hopefully everyone's ship has just come in!

It's here, pictures to follow shortly, 5 months to the day. Ordered Dec, March build, May delivery.
Interesting offer from dealer, $500 for 2 years, $50 per call out, for repair of car park dents and gutter rash.
Didn't grab it on the spot, but considering going back tomorrow to grab it, anyone had any experience with this?

So question I will be getting the car and have a 1000km return trip to do right away. Shouldn’t be any issue being brand new? Will be a combo of highway driving/back roads and urban areas.

Not to put a downer on all the good news, but I have some bad news; just heard from my dealer today that my order has been extended indefinitely, no ETA but they are working with Kia to get some kind of heads up in another month's time.
Apparently I'm not the only one in the hurt - nine others have had the bad news passed on, and by the sounds of it the dealership has been copping it from them.
Bit of a trash way to start the weekend but what can you do. Fingers crossed for this financial year but I'm not holding my breath any more haha

Not really anything else to say other than "delays in production", I got the vibe that they don't actually know themselves. Hopefully some more info to come in June!

I ordered end of Feb this year, but my dealer had already placed an order so the lead times weren't so bad. ETA got pushed back twice and the rest is history.
It is what it is. Dealer was very apologetic and very helpless so I understand. It can't be helped. Hopefully the backlash will be a learning curve for Kia in the future.
