Still impressed by the fuel mileage

I also have a 2021 GT1 and cannot find the coasting feature. It does not show up under Setup->Vehicle. Did you ever find it?
It’s in the driver experience in the cluster

I still can’t find it. Under user settings I see driver assistance, door, lights, sound, convenience, etc. Nothing about driver experience. Is this a regional and/or model year thing? Or maybe I’m just blind or missing it.

I don't think the 2021s have this feature. I've compared to other years and ours don't have it as far as I can see. Oddly

Personally I don't much care for the coasting feature and from a technical point of view it doesn't' make much sense. When you're going down hill off throttle you're already using minimal amounts of fuel (engine is kept spinning by the drivetrain and doesn't need fuel to stay 'running') and it's easier to control your speed since you can use engine braking.

Coasting causes the car to accelerate down hill meaning you have to use the brakes more often to keep your speed in check. IMO if you're hitting the brakes you're wasting energy ontop of that idling posibly consumes more fuel than if the engine was just being spun by the drivetrain.

for example: Is Engine Braking More Efficient than Coasting?

For me I often just cruise on the far right lane in eco-mode but sometimes give a tad bit of gas here and there. My MPG does seem to get better when eco-mode engages with the smart coasting feature. :D

Sorry. Driver assistance I believe. I have mine set to coast. Improves my mileage in Eco about 2 mpg on average (on the highway)

Your mileage may vary ;)

I think I've seen coasting on my 2022 in the same menu as the Custom mode configuration. But that may just be for Custom.

I work 37 miles away, 33 or so highway miles, and I can get 28mpg consistently, whether at 60, 70, or 80. The car doesn't really seem to care. In Eco in the slow lane I've tipped 30mpg.

The “Coasting” feature definitely is NOT on 2021 vehicles. It isn’t where it was on my 2019 or anywhere else for that matter. They took it out definitely for 2021. It may be back for 2022 but I doubt it.
You still can get some pretty incredible gas mileage in “comfort” mode over short distances.062F7FCA-8D0E-44F1-BE74-C49A15C23B70.webp

Very nice! What altitude did you come down from?
Fairly flat profile, origin and destination similar elevation, bit lumpy in places, mixed motorway (about 70%) and rural (30%).

What's different is it's a CRDi Stinger with tune. Tune on MAP1(eco) and Stinger in Eco mode as well. MAP7 would be race mode

Oh it's a Diesel? How are those power wise? We don't get those over here in the states.

Awesome. Yea, diesel is definitely the way to go for gas mileage. I couldn’t come close to that even for that kind of distance with 93 Octane. 50 mpg is probably the best I could do coasting down from a mountain.

Yes diesel is great for MPG, until they ban diesel altogether :-( did a 80 mile round trip today thru some hills(Chilterns) with heavy traffic and then motorway on the way back, somewhat lumpy as well. Averaged 53mpg :-)
I've toyed many a time in my head about getting the V6 but with petrol here at £1.30/litre ($5+ per gallon) and services every 6 months it's quite hefty on the wallet
