These stories are just amazingly bad. To show contrast with a real Kia dealer and service center, the kind that Kia is trying to build: James came out to me three times to tell me the progress on my car (getting an oil change and main points inspection, plus the TSB work done); it took less than the two hours that he said they were allowing. As he escorted me to my car, he said, as always, "If Kia asks you to participate in a customer satisfaction survey, remember that anything but top scores in any of the questions we consider a fail." One of the questions specifically asks: "Did the rep keep you informed on the progress of your service?" And so far, I've given them top scores in every question; this "honeymoon" has been going on for three years.
Do you ever get the Kia customer satisfaction survey in your Inbox? From your story, that service center would get roasted, and deservedly so.
