2022 Kia Stinger Full America Info!!

i might be in the minority but i dont think Id be a fan of an all digital dash. Especially if the tach and speedometer never moved. If all it does is change colors then i could care less. Now if it was like Audi, etc with NAV in the dash that would be cool. Im perfectly fine though with the way the Stinger is currently configured. I dont know if im old school or not lol.
From what I've seen posted here I think you're in the majority. Kia owners (at least the ones that post here) tend to prefer non-digital clusters. I don't even think it's an age issue, either, as the Stinger seems to be owned by people of all ages (not at all like the Corvette "over 60" club).

You know it really freaking annoys me that both auto trader and CarGurus as the new 2020 to Kia stinger starting to flood into dealer lot but we can’t even get an official press release from Kia or the 2022 stinger listed on their website for a build and price option really disappointing
Finally, they are announcing it on the 16th.

When they announced the Carnival you were able to build it on the website that same day. SO hopefully on the 16th we can build it and know all about different packages such as this carbon fiber package Liam has been talking about.

Guess I made the right choice for me getting a 2021 then. Sounds like the new GT1 would be a (more expensive) downgrade outside of remote start and bigger screen.
It was suppressing/disappointing though to find out my stinger did not have uvo remote start ability (even more so considering the stinger is the highest end sedan on most kia lots since most don't have k900s)..

One looking for pre facelift GT1 level of equipment 2021 is the way to go since this does not exist for 2022. See the new GT1 as a facelifted GT.

Facelifted GT1 (rebate asside) is cheaper (1800$) vs 2021 GT1 but again should be seen as 3000$ more expensive refreshed GT.

GT 2021 vs GT1 2022 for 3000$ now you get:
  • Variable Exhaust
  • New standard safety tech
  • New infortainment system
  • Sunroof?
Did I miss anything?

New GT2: For 7800$ more you now get GT refresh equipment + pre-refresh GT1 equipement+ pre refresh GT2 equpment

Also if you're doing lease-buyout deals, the 2021 model year's discounts appear, for now, to be significantly better than the 2022 model year's.

GT2 lease discount is $6500 for 2021. It is only $3500 for 2022.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Looks like we are getting a carbon fiber edition? Matt Black mirror caps, fender trim, Black rear spoiler and Black 19" inch rims which I hope are nicer then those seen on the 2022...

highly doubt its an oops. I have a hard time believing you could f up that bad. Releasing them to dealers before the announcement IMO has created more buzz since it was unexpected this early. Look at the Carnival for instance. They announced that, and some dealers have those, and I have heard literally nothing after the announcement. Cant hardly even find a youtube video on one.

Sounds like more my speed. Guess we'll see how it looks though.

This is normal, cars are typically coming in or already at dealers when they are a refresh, typically new cars get that special fanfare and press introduction and then the cars come later. 2 of my Optima Hybrid were leased prior to them being on KIA media or KIA.com. One had options that were packaged differently than the later released vehicles.

Hey guys I’m a salesman at Car Pros Kia HB and a stinger driver/enthusiast too. The new 2022 models are coming out way earlier than I expected..... next month March 2021!!! The first model we’re getting is coming in the 6th, the newly colored ascot green GT2. I’ll attach the window sticker so you can see the exact specs. From what I can see now, they’re probably killing the 2.0 GT-line and the bast GT model. The new lineup will be the 2.5 GT-Line and the 3.3 GT1 and GT2. Some of the main new features are going to be the bigger main screen, a full led tail light, 9 more HP due to the new variable exhaust (I think it’s a physically controlled exhaust, not the speaker sound one but a real ass exhaust that you can open and close to increase sound), quilted seats, a CARBON FIBER EXTERIOR PACKAGE, three rim options, new headlights, more LED lights in the cabin, and a electronically controlled suspension. The MSRP for the GT1 and 2 are going to be about 3,000$ more than the 2021 models but for what you get it seems worth it. I’ll update with a video when the first one comes but feel free to ask about anything stinger related here!!! I’m happy to give you any info you want :)

I’m really digging that Ascot Green paint. Another feature that piqued my curiosity was described as “You'll also get lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control that can read traffic-signs and keep you legal (should you wish).” That’s some crazy tech.

Also other have mentionned that for NA it might be the diamond quilted seats but from your description it seams the Chain design which would be the same as European / Austrilla seats and not the korean seats.

If that is the case it make me happy since I prefer those new seats for the sporty look which fits the best the Stinger.
The chain design is what NA is getting, and that’s what’s showing up in the few 2022’s for sale in NA lots. Kia is keeping the diamond quilted design in South Korea. Personally, I like the diamond design best.

I like the way that looks! Really good job for a bit of time and twenty bucks I say!
Still baffles me that this car is full led..... except the reverse lights. Probably the bean counters were like " you gotta give us something, anything, to keep costs down. Ok, the reverse light! Saved how many millions.

I think this looks gives it a luxury feel and they probably don’t want to clash with the Genesis G70. They could have at least put it on the side bolsters.

Yep its on the website now.
Yep it is....

Wish there was a ventilated seat option for the GT-line.

Also, hope they have some strong incentives (lease or otherwise). If I can get the Ascot Green GT-line w/ sun and sound for around $34k or less OTD w/ incentives, haggling, etc., I'm pulling the trigger.
