Because of all of this, I was extremely gentle with the brakes for the first 2k miles. Then I switched to hawk pads, did the bedding in process and now no issues, and no special treatment on the brakes. If the rotors are in good shape, just put better pads on. It is what it is. I agree that it shouldn't be this way, but my time is worth more than $175. I don't need the back and forth hassle of trying to get things replaced under warranty, just to have the same problem again and again. Although, I will say this, if I am hard on the brakes for a bit, I will take it very easy driving through the neighborhood for a few minutes just to let the brakes cool off before I park it.
