Kia plan to deploy it for new model or model year so you will likely get it for MY22 like North AmericaNope, just the old logoI’m in NSW by the way
Congratulations! Mine was ordered in early December, so may be there is a surprise in the next few weeks, but I am bracing myself for a long wait.Just picked up my MY21 GT yesterday. I guess it was on the Glovis Condor all along, car was manufactured this year in 27th Jan 2021. I hope other users in the forum receive their orders soon
Any update Greg? Mine was meant to be available 15 March but we have had another week of lockdowns here in NZ so my expectations are out the window. Fingers crossed tho.Congratulations! Nope, I'll be calling out here when (if) I get it, not sure how they get to NZ, either direct or reshipped from Oz?Any update Greg? Mine was meant to be available 15 March but we have had another week of lockdowns here in NZ so my expectations are out the window. Fingers crossed tho.
I understand they are not reshipped from Oz but are delivered direct to NZ (according to my dealer)Nope, I'll be calling out here when (if) I get it, not sure how they get to NZ, either direct or reshipped from Oz?
I have the dealer fitted bi-modal exhaust on my current Stinger and have heard the facelift version and in my opinion the facelift exhaust is quieter.Sadly there was no mention by that new CarAdvice reviewer about what the new bimodal exhaust sounds like, nor any comparison (e.g., how loud the new exhaust is) to the dealer-fit bimodal available on the pre-facelift cars.
I had a quick look at the new version at the local dealer and I can't be 100% sure but I thought the 2nd exhaust had a larger muffler then the old version.I have the dealer fitted bi-modal exhaust on my current Stinger and have heard the facelift version and in my opinion the facelift exhaust is quieter.
Not sure of the reason though.
Would have to be something like that to reduce the volume assuming the bi-modal is the same.I had a quick look at the new version at the local dealer and I can't be 100% sure but I thought the 2nd exhaust had a larger muffler then the old version.
I also think they may have reprogrammed the opening of the valves on startup compared to our old ones.
Agree with @allfit@50 muffler is much bigger. I've only heard two new ones and sound is nowhere like V1 and V2 locally made.Would have to be something like that to reduce the volume assuming the bi-modal is the same.
V1 sounding really good and approaching 28k. I doubt the MY21 facelift will get anywhere near the AUS versions. My V2 sounds better after about 20K of carbon build up as well even at idle its got a deeper note then when I 1st got it.
I did pull the fuse for a bit to see what it was like that help with the build-up I am sure![]()
The facelift might never get to the sound level of V1/V2 since I assume now it is designed for the masses and is not different by country.V1 sounding really good and approaching 28k. I doubt the MY21 facelift will get anywhere near the AUS versions.
But are they willing to sell them. A dealer I know advertised his demo for sale, but told me there would be no way they would sell it.For those wanting to get into a facelift without a delay, Paul Wakeling at Campbelltown (NSW) has a Micro Blue and Orange on display.
I only noticed as I was driving by.But are they willing to sell them. A dealer I know advertised his demo for sale, but told me there would be no way they would sell it.
I'll have my car back Monday with the ultimate performance downpipe combo and My21 bi modal exhaust. I'll see if I can get a sound clip of it.The facelift might never get to the sound level of V1/V2 since I assume now it is designed for the masses and is not different by country.
Someone need to try the secondary downpipe or resonator removal to see if the sound level would be increase without adding drone while in normal mode. I am sure this is coming fast since now the facelift is slowly getting in USA dealers.
I’m exactly in the same situation as you lol. Waiting 6 months after signing a contract and all for a car seems rediculous. I was considering throwing the towel and asking for my deposit back, but if I’ve already waited 4 months I might as well wait the remaining 2. Unless another delay... then I don’t think I can handle it no more.Followed up with my dealer today to find out “oh there is a small delay- it will be on the April boat for may delivery” originally ordered in December.
I understand delays and such but just peeved to be told of one delay in January to now another in May.
As others have said dealers don’t have any cars to sell off the lot - is 6 months waiting enough time to start asking for compensation or just something to suck up.
