January ordered Stinger GTs are now in production - should be good for March delivery.
Hey bd01, congrats on your Stinger arrival! When did your dealer say that it should be ready for pickup? mid Feb or now?So I sent an email to my dealer last night asking what the go is with my delivery, turns out my car only just arrived which is about a month early! She must’ve come on the Glovis Condor when it was here before in Brissy.
Unfortunately still can’t drive it on my p plates so that throws a spanner in the works of trying to get it home.
Countdown is on to mid feb!
Those are serious specs!Koya SF06
Front 19x8.5”, 245/35/19
Rear 19x9.5”, 273/30/19
Still waiting to lower the car

My dealer said it would be a mid-February arrival, though the contract said 28 Feb. Still can't drive it for another 4 weeks though... so I'm hoping the dealer will let it sit there for a month.Hey bd01, congrats on your Stinger arrival! Can't you someone to drive it home for you and keep it safe from elements etc.My dealer said it would be a mid-February arrival, though the contract said 28 Feb. Still can't drive it for another 4 weeks though... so I'm hoping the dealer will let it sit there for a month.
Yeah that's definitely an option, I'm just waiting for the dealer to get back to me with what their storage options might be. If it's going to be out in the open then I'll get Dad to drive it home for me. Just maybe they'd be happy to keep it in the showroom or in a shed, but if keeping it in the showroom means people can sit in it - no thanks. There are storage lockers about 30 seconds from my house, if they say no then I'll put it in one of those for 4 weeks. Can't you someone to drive it home for you and keep it safe from elements etc.
Being obviously a young driver, how did you find your insurance rates in the Stinger?Yeah that's definitely an option, I'm just waiting for the dealer to get back to me with what their storage options might be. Guess I might just have to be a passenger and suck it up not being the first one to drive it home if it comes to that![]()
All of our cars in the family are under dad’s policy. I was quoted $2118 if it’s under my name, or $900 (due to his discounts) on his policy and me listed as the main driver.Being obviously a young driver, how did you find your insurance rates in the Stinger?
$900 is a neat price, who is the insurer, GIO are quoting me ~$1080All of our cars in the family are under dad’s policy. I was quoted $2118 if it’s under my name, or $900 (due to his discounts) on his policy and me listed as the main driver.
Yes I can afford the $2118 before anyone jumps in saying I can’t afford the car
RACQ mate, I think it was more like $950 or something. I just remember it starts with a 9. But his discounts are gold membership, multi-policy holder, combined policy holder, no claims, rating 1. He’s got the lot.$900 is a neat price, who is the insurer, GIO are quoting me ~$1080
Thanks, I have the whole nine yards as well, I might do the rounds when the car arrives.RACQ mate, I think it was more like $950 or something. I just remember it starts with a 9. Just did a quote then, it would cost him $595 a year with a $750 excess.

For my car, got the ship name right but wrong timeline hahaAll hope is lost on the GLOVIS CONDOR being the ship bringing down the latest batch of Stingers, it's cruising off to Yokohama next, so guess they are on another ship, who knows.

Let us know what the dealer says! My dealer has no ideaAnd yeh, I think we’ve been tracking the wrong ship, but the fact that Queensland and Newcastle has received their orders should be a good sign
It might still be on the ship who knows. Ships make various stops before going to their end destination.Let us know what the dealer says! I think mine will be a 2020 year but MY21I guess the later it is the more likely it will be Jan 21 build, told the dealer that the 2020 build was acceptable,
I don't pay much attention to the "it will affect the resale value", bartering affects that more at the time.
