If i put my foot down in sports mode i hear it but not much really. I think i am too use to my racecar that sets off car alarms when i turn it on haha.Legit can’t hear mine at all either haha. Even in sport.

Haha yeah I’m the same. It is different in sport, but still quiet. Perhaps that’s testament to how quiet it is in the cabin though. If i put my foot down in sports mode i hear it but not much really. I think i am too use to my racecar that sets off car alarms when i turn it on haha.
im keen to go to a few meets and hopefully hear the Borla exhaust as its the one im interesting in getting.Haha yeah I’m the same. It is different in sport, but still quiet. Perhaps that’s testament to how quiet it is in the cabin though.
I don’t want a loud car so it suits me, but I think anyone wanting something that people notice may be a little disappointed in the stock bimodal.
Don’t worry they’ll bring it out in the 2022 model just to piss everyone off like how they included interior ambient lighting on the 2018 model for every country except Australia, and then released it in the 2019 model without letting on beforehand. Happened to be a month after I bought my 2018 model. I still maintain there’s something there that can be activated to have it operate, but nobody has found it and I’m not the sort to pull mine apart to look for it. Seems odd they make them all in the same place but leave bits off here and thereIs that 100% confirmed? It is only on the rear indicators. That's a misstep by KIA if correct. Its touches like that that elevate the aesthetic.
It almost seems like it would be more difficult to have some build with certain headlight operations, and others with different again haha.Don’t worry they’ll bring it out in the 2022 model just to piss everyone off like how they included interior ambient lighting on the 2018 model for every country except Australia, and then released it in the 2019 model without letting on beforehand. Don't be sorry... You've done well. Of course a factory fitted Bimodal was never going to be super loud but I think your video isn't bad at all... Pretty good sound at idle.coming from my old car which was pretty much a loud racecar, the exhaust is really quiet. In smart, eco and comfort modes you barely even hear it and in sport you really only hear it when you have your foot down. Honestly i am going to get them to check that its working since its really quiet.
Sorry for the shit vid, i literally just ran outside and took it:
thats the exhaust idled but in the car you cant heard it at all.
I have the bi-modal exhaust and it only opens around certain rpm, and depends what drive mode your in also.coming from my old car which was pretty much a loud racecar, the exhaust is really quiet. remote start hahahahDon't be sorry... You've done well. Of course a factory fitted Bimodal was never going to be super loud but I think your video isn't bad at all... Pretty good sound at idle.
I think I'm with Darren... I don't want a loud car when cruising, but when I put my foot down I want it to have a bit of character.
Btw... Did you record that by using remote start? Or did you have someone hop in and start it for you?
I did some spirted driving on the way home in sports mode and it seems to open at 3K and over.I have the bi-modal exhaust and it only opens around certain rpm, and depends what drive mode your in also.
you can find online or may have been posted on here how the exhaust works in each scenario....I put a switch in my car to override the solenoids on the mufflers so i can have it louder even in Eco mode, also after it has burnt in a bit volume will increase...Cheers
You might want to try secondary downpipes or resonator removal on your bimodal to keep it bimodal but add sound? Pretty sure the sound level can increase quite a bit doing this.im keen to go to a few meets and hopefully hear the Borla exhaust as its the one im interesting in getting.
Yeah I would have got the black pack if available I recon. That would look awesome.Would be great if that "black pack" did land here. That plus the white exterior and red interior would be brilliant I reckon. Gt is going to be great this gen.
2.0t doesn't make much sense for our market though IMO. The 2.5t might've stood a chance but who's going for a 2.0t heavy, rwd sedan? Might as well just get one of Hyundais fwd sedans.
Maybe with the commodores final death it works out better.
Now, to get the money to buy one...
Wait I until about mid 2021 when they should do a MY22 update, my guess is that the Black Pack may become available, also rear sequential indicators & possibly the engine upgrades will be added.Would be great if that "black pack" did land here. It's possible Australia might do the black pack as a special edition, like the 'carbon' and 'night sky'. They have done subtle changes/add ons over the past 3 years since original release in 2017, manufacturers do this to peak further interest. It's possible Australia might do the black pack as a special edition, like the 'carbon' and 'night sky'. Just a guess though.
It would be surprising if they did another update for MY22, I'd bet on it being closer to MY25.

But then again... how come the people that are importing the back lights from overseas have sequential indicators, but the ones coming from factory aren’t sequential? Might actually be something in the taillights themselvesNot having sequential indicators for Au is puzzling. Right? It's strange. But then again... how come the people that are importing the back lights from overseas have sequential indicators, but the ones coming from factory aren’t sequential? Might actually be something in the taillights themselves
AWD won’t work with RHD the diff interferes with the steering, not enough market to justify expensive engineerin, all AWD is heavier & a tad slower the RWD.I'd agree, that makes sense to do some minor changes, just not engine upgrades. A limited run AWD edition would be on the wish list, but I don't see that happening for the RHD market.
Not having sequential indicators for Au is puzzling. It wouldn't make sense they manufactured different lights, so I bet it can be enabled in the back end of the system. I don't think Kia aftermarket has easy diagnostic tools to enable features like VCDS (VW and Audi) just yet? I'd say it will appear in the near future.
Yes, it's a shrinking market for big sedans. The writing has been on the wall for a few years now. While sales aren't amazing, there isn't anything left in the segment to compete (can't seem to post direct links): performancedrive.com.au/australian-vehicle-sales-for-september-2020-vfacts-0601
Yes but wouldn’t it be disabled for them in their software if it was software, as it’s not a 2021 model?owners have purchased & fitted the new light assemblies & state its “plug & play” & sequential is working for them.
