• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

MY21 Aussie Release Date

That would be me and I'll remind you that I was relating what a salesman said when I asked.....refer post #93. AND, in post #92 you stated that blind spot detection had been removed so do you also fall into the category of "no idea"?
I’ll support this as well, when I asked the salesman at GWK on Tuesday he didn’t know if it had the blind spot camera either, I even said are you sure & he said positive.

Its frustrating when some of these sales people speak as though they know 100% about a topic when many dare I say MOST of them know sweet F A about the stinger.

I was told RED leather interior won't be available on the MY21... How very wrong that person was!

In fairness Kia seem to be very light on with the information but perhaps they don't spend any money educating thier dealers. As someone who likes ALOT of detail and researches things to the death it's annoying to feel like I have to educate the sales person about the product they should be teaching me about!

I too research cars to death to ensure I know what I want & to confidently negotiate for it, I’m always ready to humiliate the salesman on details as they are usually clueless, in this case when I went into ”buy” my salesperson was a 21 year old girl & I thought this is going to be fun, how wrong was I, she knew the car inside out & is a car tragic & was so smitten with the Stinger, she even set up my iPhone when I was taking delivery.

Its funny because if you look at the pictures of the car in the dealership that someone posted a little while back you can see the cameras on the side mirrors lol. Most if not all Kia dealers should have the ebulletin now which lists everything that's available, so hopefully the misinfomation will no longer be a problem. From what i can tell the AU version is missing, rear heated seats, quilted seats (although we did get a refreshed seat design) and sequential indicators. I feel like there might be one more thing but i cant remember

I don’t think salesman today can be bothered reading about the car & its points, a lot of people buy on looks, fuel economy etc, the rest of us research the crap out of it & know what they want.

Is she married? :sneaky:

Ours don't get sequential indicators?

Is that 100% confirmed? It is only on the rear indicators. That's a misstep by KIA if correct. Its touches like that that elevate the aesthetic.

Hopefully if it is the case just a module can be retrofitted to make them sequential vs having to change the entire headlight assembly... I guess it is something about regulation / certification in Australia ( and not cost cutting).

I have the facelifted version, it doesnt have sequential indicators.

  • Wow
Reactions: KAS
Wait so the back indicators aren’t sequential? They just flash on and off??

@Reldas what's your thoughts on the sound of the bimodal exhaust in your new car? Does it get loud? Any drone?

How about a video? Of course; you do live to serve the forum members right? [LOL emoji here]

Also Understand it's hard to capture the true nature of the sound of the exhaust.

coming from my old car which was pretty much a loud racecar, the exhaust is really quiet. In smart, eco and comfort modes you barely even hear it and in sport you really only hear it when you have your foot down. Honestly i am going to get them to check that its working since its really quiet.

Sorry for the shit vid, i literally just ran outside and took it:

thats the exhaust idled but in the car you cant heard it at all.
