MY21 Aussie Release Date

Anyone planning on doing something about those new exhaust tips. It looks so silly with the big hole and small exhaust showing through or is it just me? Does it make sense to just cut off the small exhaust tips and install a new wider one from the muffler or should you remove the stainless chrome piece as well? I'm guessing there is also the risk of changing the sound of the exhaust as the bi-modal flap is right at the end of the muffler.

I agree it is not perfect and maybe black matte paint or time / carbon deposit will make them less visible.

You’ve got a point but also two wrongs don’t make a right. Think i’m going down the powdercoat path. I really think I have the modifying bug. This is gonna get expensive

Hi. I have only seen 2 on the coast but I see them a lot.....and drool every time. Hilton’s have been ok. There are others on here that got it cheaper apparently but I got quotes from Pennant Hills as well & they weren’t any cheaper. I added tow bar fitted, cargo mat & floor mats & it is $66164. I am happy with it especially if I get it mid December like they have promised.

There’s every colour of the Stinger rainbow on the coast, I’ve spotted heaps in the 2 years I’ve had mine but I can go for months and not see any, then get a run of them. Don’t worry about what others get it for, as long as you’re happy with it and they deliver what they should that’s all that matters.

Well spotted - my bad. I didn't realise the MY20's had this feature. Guess it's new to those MY18 and MY19 owners. Can't imagine too many MY20 owners upgrading to MY21.

Certainly does - 4 piston on the front. 2 piston on the rears. the same as previous years. And they have kept the fantastic michelin pilot sport 4 tyres

The slot for the SD card and the cover over it appear to be missing - unless the cover is still there but no longer has any logos on it and therefore isn't noticeable in the photo.

Hi guys,

Bit of a long time lurker.

I'm 19 and strongly considering a Kia Stinger GT. I was originally going to go with a 2019 demo that is at my local dealer, but once the MY21 was released and reading about some of the new features - I want the MY21. As I am still on my p's for another 3 months, in the contract I will be saying subject to getting my open licence. My local dealer has said 4 month wait over an email for the MY21, I haven't gone in and negotiated or asked for pricing as of yet.

My question is, with little experience, how are people haggling the price down to what I have been reading (60-64)? I've never dealt with a dealer before so I just wanted to know what everyone has been getting or quoted for their MY21, and just any tips or tricks. I do believe that once I walk in the dealership and they find out that I'm only 19, they'll try and stuff me over. I plan to pay $35,000 cash, trade-in my car, and loan the rest. There are 5 dealers within a 300km radius of me and I plan to get quotes from all of them once I've formally decided that I want in, at this rate I'll probably make my mind up next week

Bit stoked to be owning this car at 20 years old when I'm on my opens.

My advice is settle on a realistic price you are prepared to pay and stick to that. If the dealer knows you're serious and they know you will put your money down immediately if you can get the right number, then they will be more inclined to do the deal.

Be prepared to walk if you can't get the price for sure, but if they think you're just there to shop around any price they give you then I think it will be hard to get their best deal.

Show intent, throw your credit card on the table with a number you want and if they get near it, just do it and be happy with your purchase... Don't spend the next few weeks wondering if you could have saved a few hundred bucks. I think the numbers you have been seeing the forum gives you a fair indication without you needing to go through the whole 5 quotes thing. The quotes won't be their best price.

Also... You're there to build a relationship with the dealer - they can be your best friend or a pain in the arse if there are warranty/delivery issues.

Also not sure where you are... But I've been very happy with Maitland Kia to this point.

Actually... Those wheels are growing on me. Side on they look pretty good... Better than any promo photo. Thanks @Reldas ... Can't wait for mine... Exact same colours as yours. Some tint will complete the look

I really like the new wheels, just a drop (and maybe spacers) and it will look very nice!
Do you have a picture of the seats?
Also if you could record the variable exhaust from outside while the car accelarating it would be very nice
